Although this hostel is two seconds from placa del sol, you end up feeling really lonely while you're in it. The beds are comfortable and the sleep is good, but for a 20 year old back packer the hostel left me with an overall feeling of ennui. Besides this, the room I was in was extremely drafty and the showers would not stay hot, they would oscillate from hot to cold leaving me jumping in and out. The staff are nice but I would only recommend staying here if you are looking for solitude.

Very clean, very nice location right off of puerta del sol. Above starbucks. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was standard nothing great. It was very noisy at night but thats just because of the location next to puerta del sol so i was fine with it. good value for money. bathrooms were very clean and big.

The best thing about the hostel is definitely location in centre of the city, just 2 minutes from Pl. Puerta del Sol (and Starbucks :D) The staff is nice, breakfast is also good, there are not many facilities and a common room for hanging out is also missing. I'd recommend the hostel because of the location and the price is also okay.

Best position, most educated staff ever seen, the only fault were the tiny spaces and the only possibility to use the room's toilet, that was shared with the others guests

It was a little noisy outside. The location was great, but with it brought the bustle of the never ending night life. No complaints on the night life, but the building held little of the sounds out. The bathroom (1) was clean, but the water temperature of the shower was off and on, mainly cold. Overall, good location in the center of Madrid.

Helpful staff speaks English. Free breakfast includes more than some other hostels' breakfasts. Rooms can be (but aren't necessarily) a bit crowded. Other people staying there were fun. Very clean. I'd gladly stay there again.

A clean, safe place to sleep on great location. If you're looking to meet someone there, forget it. There's no social area at all. Staff is helpful, but some don't speak English. I recommend it.

The ladies who worked here were lovely, the bloke who was at the desk when I checked in was great. The man doing the early morning desk on the morning I was leaving was shifty and charmless, he was looking at me as if I was doing something wrong when I was not. I do not treat the people who stay at my place with that trajectory nor do I expect to be treated in that way when I am staying somewhere else. The clarion call should be: react to others in the way you would like to be received yourself.

The attention from the staff was very good, they're very friendly, the place is very quiet and nice. The breakfast is awesome, there's laundry service and the dorm rooms are ensuite! the heat and the hot water were working all the time. The location is super central, I was with my mom and we didn't had to take any transportation in our stay in Madrid, we just walked, everything was nearby. I'd recommend this one to anybody, and for the price it's was just perfect! thank you! :D

PERFECT location. The only two things I would change about the hostel are: (1) Have a larger public area in order to more easily meet other hostelers. (2) Perhaps in this renovated public space or in the kitchen, consider including a range and an oven to facilitate in-hostel cooking.

An excellent choice!! Perfect location, the staff was great, the price is also very good. The kitchen isn't big, the lockers are huge and the proximity to the puerta del sol makes hard to have good night sleep, but probably my example isn't the best because I stay there in the last night of 2011. I definitely stay there again and I strongly recommend.

This hostel was right in the center of town near Plaza del Sol. Even with all the people in the streets every day and night it was amazing that it was quiet in our stay on the 4th floor of this building. The location is awesome, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The rooms were clean and the breakfast provided was filling. I would definitely stay here again!
