I would absolutely recommend RnR again in the future! I can't say enough about the staff, accommodations, and their flexibility on my trip schedule. Very professional, great food, and best atmosphere for the single backpacker or group trip in South Thailand. If you are a diver, I would highly recommend getting certified here also!

Amazing times! Met a lot of great people. Awesome place for doing PADI scuba courses and the breakfasts were excellent. Kata has an ace beach as well as decent places to go out. Just wish I'd had more time to stay longer. At the very least you need to go and meet Jackie O and Kesha! Cheers Rick and Joe.

The price for the 6 bed mixed dorm was not worth it, as all the people had to use a one toilet that was also shared among everyone who visited the bar. The room was INCREDIBLY small and only one person could stand on the floor at a time. Rick, the owner, is a cool guy who is helpful with good intentions. The try dive was great! We booked tours through them, but others on the same tours paid 200-400 baht less per person. This place has a cool environment, but the mixed bed room is not recommend.

These guys are great. Beer's not the cheapest, but it's in a great location, and the food is good. They keep it really clean, everyone is friendly and the beds are comfy. The rooms are a tad small, but really, I don't have too many complaints about this place. Thanks guys

Great Hostel! The staff are warm and inviting. They are very helpful when it comes to booking trips and transportation. Compared to other hostels I've stayed in the 5 female dorm room felt like a hotel! The breakfast was amazing! Home cooked, and inexpensive! The only thing that I didn't like were the abundance of ants and mosquitoes! But I guess that's just what happens in a tropical climate.

This hostel was great, fun bar, great for meeting people and an awesome staff. If your female I would recommend staying in a girls dorm because otherwise your bathroom is shared with the public bar.

I loved my stay at RNR, I made plenty of friends, including everyone in the staff and had a great time chilling out in Kata or partying in Karon/Patong. The magic happens in the lounge area = the open bar + dining room + living room where everybody hangs out, including the birds. If you show sign of interest in the PADI courses, they will hustle you until you go for it :D Of course I don't regret taking it. Ask for an extra dive if you stay long enough. I'll definitely come back!

Very good location - only 5 minuts away from a very good beach! Though are the rooms very tiny and the hostel was as well a bit tiny with only beds for around 15 people, so the atmosphere depends a lot on at which point you stay there. But if you're looking for a place to stay near the beach it's perfect!

Don't book tours with the hostel staff as they suggest very high prices (about twice the price necessary). The prices in the hostel in general are very high. You can get the same goods for much less just across the road. If you are going to the airport the staff will suggest a taxi and only on several requests book a bus for you.

Very well located hostel in stunning Kata Beach. Helpful staff with bar attached to be used as a staging point before hitting the Kata night life. Only drawback was that whilst the beds were large and comfortable, there was no space, nor air con in the dorm room. Still good value for money

I enjoyed my stay here but 2 things could have been improved on. 1- sheets were not changed in the 4 nights I was there so I was constantly sleeping on sand! 2- the wifi didn't work for the first 2 nights and wasn't great for the 2nd 2 so it would have been god to have a decent lap top or pc available to guests at all times.

Enjoyed my stay here. The atmosphere facilitates meeting people. It was close by Kara beach and Rick organized trips to Patong's party street. It also doubles as a dive shop so they tried pushing that quite a bit when I first arrived. They have a great bar downstairs and the ladies that work the front are very nice and helpful. They will also cook you a great breakfast sandwich. I would stay again but not in Dorm D (no AC and crowded)

When I first arrived, I was very excited to find out that they are also a scuba resort. I ended up diving with them on a day trip and Joe , the staff instructor set up a live a board trip for me to the islands which was amazing. There seemed to be some confusion about my reservations when I returned, but Joe was quick to find me another place. Joe really made the whole experience there very worthwhile!!
