The owners and employees are amazingly friendly and welcoming...you can really tell that they love being at the hostel. Great vibe with many loyal visitors which truly attest to how great of a place it is.

Had an amazing time at the RNR hostel my only regret is we weren't around Kata enough to take advantage of their dive services, but plan to on my next visit. Wouldn't recommend staying anywhere else on Kata or Karon beach when in Phuket Island!

Probably one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. Nice rooms, great staff. Really good atmosphere by the bar.

This place is awesome. Nice staff, nice bar with 2 amazing talking parrots, nice and clean beds. They made us some deals for daytrips that were cheaper than anyone else on the trip. Rick you rock!

I've been there for 10 days and i have to say that i've never seen a hostel clean as this! The staff is friendly and always there if you have a question or whatever. Besides, you can book dive-courses (padi certificated) right at the hostel and might be lucky enough to see something nice at the nearby "kata home reef". However, eventhough there's a little bar in the basement (owned by the hostel) it's never really loud. You should take a room with air-con, they're quite nice. cheers, lenny

Very friendly place, staff fixed my dress when it came back damaged from laundry and also drove me to bus station. Lots of cool pets. Stayed in fan room, top bunk is a bit too close to ceiling so you can't sit up but aside from that everything was great. Would stay again.

Very few people at the hostel, quite quiet place, I was alone at the girls dorm. Maybe tjhis place is great in peak season, but in April it is not the place to stay if you are traveling solo like I was... Kata was nothing like Patong at the time, which is good if you don't like loud places, but maybe it was just too peaceful. Please bear in mind when reading this review that I absolutely HATE Phuket as a whole and I would never stop over the area again if I can avoid it.

Good sized rooms which are very clean and with large beds. The staff make this place. Travelling alone I was welcomed at the bar each evening like an old friend, which made my stay a great one. Also only 5 minutes from the beach. Only downside is that wifi didn't work in the room.

RNR is located in a good spot on Kata Beach. Its a bit quieter, but I preferred the location, and only 5 minutes walk to get to the actual beach. The staff is friendly, and met some cool people while staying there. Rooms are a bit small, but there is a good social area to sit downstairs.

Rick and Joe are awesome! I felt like being home with friends that I've known in a long time, this sort of atmosphere is created by Rick, his friends and staff. Everyone is helpful and relaxed. The hostel offers snorkeling and diving opportunities, and has a lively bar at night. The two parrots are quite entertaining as well. The rooms are nice and cleaned daily. Hope to stay at the RnR Hostel soon again!

Fantastic hostel! A short walk to a beach, on a (comparatively) quiet road with restaurants nearby, and very friendly staff. I had awesome roommates, and it's easy to meet people downstairs in the bar area. Ben makes AMAZING breakfast in the morning. My diver friend stayed at another hostel in Kata Beach, thinking it would be better for diving, but she ended up booking with RNR. She wished she had stayed here instead.

I would absolutely recommend RnR again in the future! I can't say enough about the staff, accommodations, and their flexibility on my trip schedule. Very professional, great food, and best atmosphere for the single backpacker or group trip in South Thailand. If you are a diver, I would highly recommend getting certified here also!

Amazing times! Met a lot of great people. Awesome place for doing PADI scuba courses and the breakfasts were excellent. Kata has an ace beach as well as decent places to go out. Just wish I'd had more time to stay longer. At the very least you need to go and meet Jackie O and Kesha! Cheers Rick and Joe.

The price for the 6 bed mixed dorm was not worth it, as all the people had to use a one toilet that was also shared among everyone who visited the bar. The room was INCREDIBLY small and only one person could stand on the floor at a time. Rick, the owner, is a cool guy who is helpful with good intentions. The try dive was great! We booked tours through them, but others on the same tours paid 200-400 baht less per person. This place has a cool environment, but the mixed bed room is not recommend.
