Rahul Guest House is a great place because: 1 - Its Clean. The rooms, the sheets, the loos, the corridoors, the terrace.. everything is clean 2 - There is no problem abt hot water or electricity (as there is an alternative arrangement) 3 - The place is a 10 min walk from the Assi Ghat and in the next 4 - 6 months this is likely to get better thanks to a water purification device being installed Why you should not consider this place: 1 - Its 'relatively' far from the   Read Owner Comments

Very nice place, the nicest room we had in India, modern tasty style! The staff was very nice and helpfull. Food, so grrrreat (best paneer butter masala, fried noodle, banana-chocolate fritter...) Place a bit out of main area, but you can walk to the fist Asi Ghat in 10 minutes and keep walking throught all Ghats. Rickshaw driver will try to discorage you from coming here, but it realy worth to visit the Rahul Guest House. We slept so well and always had hot water! Just missing WiFi...

We had the best start in India by staying at Rahul Guest House. The view from the rooftop restaurant was perfect - and the food was very good at good prices. The room was nice and clean. But the famely who runs the guesthouse were the best. They were so nice and helpfull. I dont think we will meet such nice and helpfull people in India anywere.   Read Owner Comments

Rahul guesthouse is a lovely getaway from the hectic Varanasi. The staff is very helpfull and kind, and we were able to check in at 5am without problems. Also the rooftopterrace is great and has the most amazing view of the city and the ganges. All in all a nice stay!

Super friendly staff, who let us check-in to our room at 5:30 in the morning! The restaurant food was great, with an awesome view of Varanasi, a bit of a walk to reach the main ghats, but we enjoyed the exercise. Our room was one of the older ones that hasn\'t been renovated, so it wasn\'t the nicest but it was cheap. I would definately recommend this place!

Probably about a 10 minute walk to the ghats, through some very poor neighbourhoods. But the place is clean, the food is good and the staff are helpful. Stayed there for 6 days and had hot water once.. But that's pretty standard, right?

A good Varanasi Hostel! Ten min. walk from Asi Ghat which can be a better location than in the midst of the crowds and noise that make up the old city. Very good restaurant!

Great views from the rooftop with good food from the chef. A little pricey for the standard of facilities i.e. lack of linen, clean towels etc.
