This hostel is such a friendly and relaxing atmosphere. It's very personal and cozy, run by two knowledgeable and hospitable locals who will fix bikes for you, bake you scones, tell you the best bike/hike routes and generally make sure you see the best of Doolin.

Thank you for a great holiday - the owners were more than helpful, giving us lots of information on the area, as well as maps and books to read on the Burren...we stayed in a double room in the B and B, which was very comfortable, big rooms with ensuite bathroom and good shower. For us the kitchen was great, spacious and bright and lots of room for all to use...it's close to the great pubs of Doolin, with tradional music each night-great location for sightseeing. Overall great value for money!!

After a long walk from Ballyvaughan it was great to arrive here. The hostel is clean, efficient and good value. It's right beside the two better pubs in Doolin (McDermott's and McGann's), and they have plenty of information available for staying in the area or travelling onwards. Recommended!

The rainbow hostel make you feel like home, the couple in charge are very nice. But they don't have a computer, so it was complicated for us, because we didn't plan anything before... And it's not really like an hostel, no reception, it's an house on the side, and somethimes they're are not home. So the atmosphère is really nice, and it's perfect if you come by car, by bus and without plan and laptop, was a little bit complicated.

Owner Comment (Show)
I'm happy that you enjoyed your time at the hostel. I am surprised that you had difficulty in finding us on occasion.as one of us is always on hand to help. We do indeed have a computer for guests use and would have been very happy to help you in any way if you had just asked us. The hostel does not have a reception desk but has all the amenities and facilities for guests use, private and dorm rooms, a fully equipped kitchen and common room with turf fire and books and games. I hoped that you enjoyed our complimentary tea/coffee and scones. Safe travels

LOVE THIS HOSTEL! Had such a great time in Doolin because of this hostel. We went when there were only 3 people in the entire hostel. Felt like it was our own home. I LOVE THE KITCHEN! Made it very pleasant to cook. The owners were out of town but the staff were very nice. Perfect location. Drinking tea and sitting by the fireplace was so lovely. Free wifi - and it reached our room as well. No complaints. Would definitely come back again and again!

I had a fantastic time at the Rainbow Hostel! Carmel and Mattie were so friendly! They definitely went beyond anything I expected, and did everything to make my stay more comfortable. Carmel even drove me to the store and baked us scones, and Mattie showed us a lovely presentation of slides of the Burren. Thank you so much for your hospitality! I would recommend reminding your visitors to bring cash, though, as there are no ATMs in Doolin except at the Cliffs of Moher! Thanks again! :)

I really enjoyed my stay at thew Rainbow Hostel and Carmel, the hostess was great, making lovely fresh scones for breakfast every morning. She was also kind to me after I tripped on a rock and fell and thought I had broken my arm (fortunately I hadn't!). The hostel itself has a very nice sitting room where it is possible to look at lovely books of other parts of Ireland (and dream of the next destination) and chat to other hostellers. The kitchen was also very light and spacious. Thanks!

The nicest hostel I've stayed in. Comfortable bed. (I was there early April and had the 4-female room to myself with en-suite bath.)Fully equipped large sunny kitchen and freshly baked scones. Just a few steps from two of the best music pubs in Doolin. Just don't miss the hostel as I did arriving at night. The Rainbow's End B&B is the sign you'll notice. The hostel is next door with a painted sign on the building. The owners are on site and lovely folks, hospitality warm as the fire in the stove

It was one of the best experiences of our stay in Dublin. The hostel is awesome. We stayed in a 4 beds room, but it had a fifth one additional provided. The rooms was very good, the bed comfy, and the view from room, just brilliant. The owner and her wife are very good people, and were always helpful in any which way. Very near to Cliffs of Moher, which is why we stayed here. Would strongly recommend any one looking for a good B & B.

My partner and I had a wonderful time staying at the Rainbow B&B. Our room was very large and cozy, it was more than what I had expected when booking. The heated floors in the room were my favorite part of the room design for sure! The couple running the hostel were very friendly and accomodating, even allowing us to book some travel arrangements on their own personal computer. This hostel and B&B is very recommendable in my books, especially on a budget it makes you feel like you splurged.
