Pros: good location close to shops, star ferry, restaurants and MTR station. The staff was fantastic. Cons: small rooms with very few hangers to hang up your clothes, a very small common area/lounge, no kitchen

Very noisy when trying to sleep at night, toilets didn't flush and no ladder to the top bunk but the location made up for it!!

This hostel was smaller than expected but that ended up being a good thing. It's small, cozy, clean and very easy to find. The staff was very polite and helpful. I had to check out early (schedule change) and though I didn't get my second night refunded (understandable) they were very apologetic and helpful about it. This is a good value hostel, close to the MTR and right in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui.

I've stayed in a lot of hostels in my travels and this one stands out. It's small so get to know everyone there. Staff are really friendly and helpful to find things. The bedrooms have enough room to store luggage without tripping over it like some places I stayed. Love that they have privacy curtains on beds - such an easy thing to do to make a travelers experience better but rarely do any hostels spare the minimal expense. They have mirrors in rooms - another plus. Computer for use.

Female dorm overlooks busy road, middle dorm without windows. Great location, helpful staff, comfortable, fridge, microwave and toaster for use, WiFi fast and reliable. However earplugs needed for sleeping, bathroom had old toothbrushes, razors, etc. left behind on vanity shelf, poky stalls and "hot" water warm at best, bathroom basin used for washing dishes. Would recommend probably stay again but it may be worth checking out other options nearby. Ask for bottom bunk upon booking.

Very much enjoyed my stay here. Kowloon and the TST are amazing and the Rainbow Lodge is the perfect jumping off point to explore them!

There are better hostels in Hong Kong in terms of cleanliness and quality of facilities, but the friendliness/helpfulness of the staff and the intimacy of the place can't be beat. It's small, with only three bedrooms, but that means that the staff are much more attentive to individual needs, and the other travelers you meet end up becoming good friends. The location is exceptional as well, right next to the TST station.

The bedrooms and bathrooms are very tiny and crowded (bunks in the 8-bed dorms are stacked 3 deep) but you won't get much more space at this price in Hong Kong. It's a great place to meet people, and transport to the airport and to Hong Kong island are nearby. Pay attention to the directions the hostel gives you, as it can be tricky to find without them (there is no sign on the street). Building is old, but entrance is less sketchy than nearby backpacker-building Chunking Mansions

The location is excellent, a bus from the airport arrives just metres from the entrance. It's also very close to a MTR station. The place is clean and neat and the communal area a relaxing place to relax and chat to other travellers.

You can't ask for more! Great location, friendly and down to earth staff, social travelers around the global, and good rates. First time traveler couldn't have asked for more. I would recommend this hostel to anyone and this will definitely be my go-to spot.

This was a great hostel! Would stay here again in a heart beat. I showed up on Christmas Eve and met a great group of people right away. The owner Sam had a pizza party with wine for all of us that night! He was also very helpful on where to go, what to do! Had Dim Sum breakfast with everyone. The Location is great too!

Was there over Christmas so it was quite expensive. Rooms/bathrooms are pretty small, but the location is stellar. I would definitely stay here again if I am back in Hong Kong.

Across the bay from HK itself Kowloon has its own personality but the metros great so it's no biggie, this is a good bet if your sensibly avoiding chucking mansion, still a few Indian touts outside but no where near the amount and non inside thankfully
