We spend two nights in this cool hostel. It has the "shape" of a traditional riad with a courtyard in the center and the good vibe of a young artistic place with many paintings on walls. The staff is very welcoming and helpfull. Good breackfast included. The only bad point are the bed. They are a bit small and not very comfy. Plus, i'm not sure sheets are changing after each person. The second night, my bed had been given at somewhere else and the sheets were the same.

It's very nice! If you first enter it and you aren't used to travel in marruecos it can be that it seems a little dark and empty inside. But you will see, that's not. At night everyone meets down in the lounge or at the lovely terrace on the roof with some free tea or a shisha. The breakfast is good and the showers have warm water. If you miss anything you can always ask the stuff and they will help you. Stay here in Marrakech!

The staff is very friendly and you have an excellent breakfast. the location is perfect; it easy to find and 2min walking from the big square. However; the hostel is very noisy and it doesnt get quiet before 0:00 which I found very annoying.

Actually when we wanted to check in the stuff said that our private twin room is under reconstraction and send us to hotel kennaria just 100 meters from them. That hotel was pretty ok, nothong to complain about. The staff was great, facilities ok Very calm in off season

Much of the service you receive is personalized. Mohammed makes sure to bring you breakfast in the morning. He was one of the best features of the hostel. The hostel is about 3 min walking from the main square and don't be worried that it's in an alley. All the hostels/riads are. The rooms were what we expected, but if someone is a very light sleeper, the rooms on the ground floor near the common area pick up sounds easily. Definitely recommend this place.

Rainbow Hostel is a fantastic place to stay.It is located in a central part of the old town, 2 mins from the main plaza. The facilities are great and the hostel is very clean. The staff are incredibly friendly especially Abdulatif who is the best man alive as well as Azdin, Mohamed and Mina. The roof terrace is awesome as it is home to a family of turtles who love to relax in the heat of the sun.The atmosphere amongst the guests is warm and the lounge area is the perfect place to make friends.!!!

2 girls, 3 nights Fab hypnotic-coloured hostel in perfect location Abdul & Mohamed were absolute dreams - couldn't have asked for better staff; helpful, friendly, respectful 10/10 for cleanliness Chilled, fun atmosphere Nigel the tortoise was a bonus NOTE: Ourika Valley day trip - definitely book through Rainbow, super guides. Girls - it is a HIKE not a jaunt. Don't where a maxi skirt & flip flops like we did or you'll have to be hauled up the mountain (like we did)! Have FUN!

It's a great hostel. We picked it because it had the best rating and they really deserve it! It's a bit hard to find the first time but when you know your way around the medina a bit the location is perfect. Once you're inside the great staff welcomes you with tea. We had a good room at the nice roof-terrace where the turtles walk around and everybody can enjoy a shisha under the sun. We want to thank the staff: Abdellatif, Mina, Mohamed and Azdin for making us feel home in a beautiful busy city

Owner Comment (Show)
These reviews are for guests to write about their own experience, not the perceived experience of others. That this guest did not acquire the alleged 'bed bugs', but is convinced that her friends did means that she are writing on their behalf. We do not feel that this is a balanced or legitimate review for this reason.

The Rainbow was awesome! I was told by some fellow hostelers to stay there and it definitely lived up to its reputation. Abdellatif, Mohammed, and Samir were always very helpful whether it be for directions, laundry, or just getting some free tea. I will definitely stay at the Rainbow again when I return to Marrakech.
