Rainforest Backpackers was architecturally designed and landscaped to merge into the existing rainforest environment whilst maximizing the awesome alpine and glacier views. Opening in the 2004/5 season, it boasts an extensive range of quality, economical accommodation. Choose from Single, Twin or Double Rooms; or if dormitory is more your style, 4 or 6 bed Dorm Rooms are available, all with either en suite or shared facility options. Park sites are also on site for campers and vans.

Excellent place to stay. The staff were very helpful and the free spa was awesome after hiking. The bar is a great place to meet people and there was $15 all you can eat pizza while I was there. The communal kitchen is huge but is directly below the dorms, so can get noisy when people are leaving early in the morning. It's also a stopover for tour buses which some people may want to avoid.
