The Rambutan is exactly what you see in your mind when you think of backpacking around Spain. Waking up to an unbelievable view in Sacromonte, with free, full breakfast in a common room complete with guitars, a fireplace, a communal table, balcony overlooking the Alhambra, and a lovely, homely atmosphere. I owe my renewed zest for travelling to Isa and the Rambutan in Granada. Thanks for everything Isa and Nick, till next time... xx

The hostel is great with a wonderful Alhambra view. It was the best place to spend a New Year's Eve.

As many others have said, this place is a bit of a trek to get to... but it's definitely worth the hike. The view of the Alhambra and the surrounding city is amazing. I had three perfect sunsets from the terrace of the hostel with an amazing view of the setting sun and surrounding area. The staff and the hostel itself were fantastic. Really friendly staff (basically travellers themselves) and the small size of the hostel meant everyone became friends really quickly. Will definitely go back!!

If you want to watch the view of la Alhambra, this is a good option. But it´s a little far from the entrance of la Alhambra and the city center. You have to climb the street, which is not a easy thing. The hostel is like a home of friends. You can chat with other travellers in the patio easily.
