Our hosts, Anesta and Big Al, made sure we were invited to whatever was going on that evening. Villa Rasta is right across the street from a public beach and within taxi distance of several other beaches (Frenchman's Cove, San San, Winifred). Big Al's cooking is delicious and Anesta is a gracious hostess. The Port Antonio area is outside of the touristy hubbub of the cruise ships and big resorts, and I recommend the area and Villa Rasta for anyone who wants to see the "real Jamaica."

Rasta Villa was indeed the best place we stayed at during our trip to Jamaica! The atmosphere is very warm and hospitable. I can especially recommend taking cooking courses with Bigup and taking a trip to the Reach Falls with Uncle Blue :) The rooms are very nice and clean, the beach can be reached in a very short walk, the dogs give a feeling of security and the food is... mmmh! Thanks a lot! Michael and Johanna

I had a great time hanging in Long Bay with BiggA and Anesta, they are a really cute couple. Long Bay is a quiet beach town... Good place to hang out if you're escaping the City. Would recommend this guest house to those who aren't fussy

Awesome place! 5 min walk from a beautiful and fairly secluded beach, and $2 cab ride from several other great beaches. Long Bay is a great Jamaican destination to escape the hustlers and harassment experienced in Mobay and Ocho Rios. Anesta and Bigup went above and beyond the call of duty. Thanks for the "pub crawl" in Port Antonio! And Thank You Uncle Blue for the tour of Kingston!
