Some sort of compensation for leaving our room unloocked would have been nice..

Lovely place to stay whilst in Caye Caulker. Nice quiet location about 3-5mins walk from the main streets. Raul and his wife Loidy were really friendly and helpful. Our room was cleaned everyday, and sheets changed every other day. Very fast internet. All in all very good value for money.

Easy to find and very walkable location off the main strip. We rented bikes though and made everything that much closer. The room was cleaned everyday, we had no concerns over cleanliness. The room is pretty bright in the morning though. The ceiling fan provided more than enough air that we definitely didn't miss A/C.

This is an ok-hostel. It is not far from the very centre, but its an ok distance. The price cost over benefit is not amazing, but its fine. Very clean place, Raul is lovely and helped on whatever we needed. There is no fun or place to hang out and meet people. I was with my girlfriend so it was ok, but if you travel with friends or alone it probably would not be a good option.

Raul's Rooms is a great place to stay! There are only a couple of rooms. Raul the owner is really nice! and will give you some great recommendations. The rooms were very clean and big. There is a large fridge and a coffee maker. The bed is comfortable and wifi works great. The balcony is a really nice spot to relax and have a coffee. Faye Caulker is a very small island. Everything is only a few minutes walk away. Highly recommend staying here.

Does everything it needs to. It is a guesthouse, so don't expect a common room or anything like that, not good for solo travellers. Raul was very nice and helpful, and location is fine (everything on the island is so close anyway). Clean sheets and towels everyday was very nice.

This is about a block away from the strip. Not sure what the comments about the location are about as Caye Caulker town is about half a mile long so its about two mins walk if that to all the bars and restaurants. The owner and all the staff are really nice, the room had a big fridge which was good. CC is stinking hot which you may want to bear in mind - the room is not a/c. CC is very safe. Personally though I loved having my own quiet apartment after months in backpackers at a great price!

It is a fine place if you just need a clean room but it is just slightly too far away from the main strip and the center of town. The Wifi is super fast (surprisingly) and the room was always very clean with fresh sheets every day. The fridge and coffee maker worked fine but not much in the way of cups and silverware. There are no plates ... not that you can cook but would have been nice anyway. The upstairs room gets a little more breeze when it s really hot... but also gets more sun.

It's in the residential area, so we weren't surprised. Anyone that pays the small charge but complains about not being right on the beach needs a reality check. The room (we had #1, upstairs) was very clean, Raul, his family and the woman that cleaned the room were very nice. We enjoyed sitting on the porch watching life on the island go by, and by that I mean the residents. Had an issue with sulphur smelling water but Raul immediately corrected it. We enjoyed being away from the beach.

We have been staying in hostels travelling through Mexico and Belize so it was nice to have a private ensuite room for a few nights. It's not particularly glam but it's clean, in a good location and the room is cleaned daily, including fresh bed sheets. There's wifi too and it's cheap. Raul was friendly but don't take his restaurant suggestions unless you want food poisoning!

Raul is a charming man, always ready to help or just have a chat. There are only two rooms, on top of each other: Good size, huge fridge, TV, nice balcony for a sundowner and watching the locals go by. Located in a quiet street, a short walk away from Caye Caulker's main drag with all its shops, restaurants and tour operators. Excellent value for money.

Lovely family-run business where we feel like living with the locals. Room was cleaned everyday very well, had a fridge and cable tv and wifi. Great find as it was very busy the time we were there. Would definitely stay here again.

Well we made a mistake & got no sympathy. We are travelling with a 13m old baby so always book aircon rooms. For some reason we didn't see this one had no air con & didn't check the room before we handed over our money. BIG MISTAKE!! After looking at the room we went straight back to the owner to say we can't stay without air-con, our baby won't sleep! She said we should have checked the cancellation policy & she will charge us 50% if we cancel any nights! So we had 3 miserable hot nights here!

the chair's on the upstairs porch looked dirty; with a little effort you could make the porcha very nice hangout place :) i would recommend maybe buying new the blankets in the room, they looked quite old. otherwise i enjoyed my stay and would recommend this place for anyone looking for a private room in this budget range.

Raul rents out a pretty basic room with linoleum floor, one double and one single bed. It has tv, fridge and coffee maker which is great. It is cleaned with fresh towel daily, also great. You can sit on your own deck, but after reading there for a day it turned out my legs had been a feast for sandflies and they stayed terribly itchy for days. It is in an more residential area of the (tiny) island, which I liked because you hot a bit of an impression of island life.

A great room in a great location.

The staff was friendly and unobtrusive. The amenities were basic but the sheets were cleaned and the bed made daily. The hot water and private shower was a nice addition. The room is in a nice part of the island. The neighborhood is quiet but only a short walk to front street and the bars/water.
