Booked online via hostel world. Price was something in the region of 32 usd. On arrival before they knew we had a reservation they offered us a rate of 21 usd. We said we had a booking and assumed we'd pay the lower rate on leaving. Or not. They tried to charge us 32 claiming some rubbish about how hostel world takes the extra 11 bucks. Took us about half an hour of stubbornly refusing and demanding they prove to us that they have to pay that 11 usd to hostel world to get the lower price. Conmen

Sinnakhone is a hotel rather than guesthouse, so does not have the kind of "character" that other hostelworld listings have. If you're looking to hang around in common areas with other people, this is not the place for you. However if you want a nice, central, secure and well maintained place to stay, it's great. It's in a great location, very clean, and we would definitely stay there again.
