The staff was amazingly nice, the kitchen was well equipped, and although they were in construction work on the hostel, everything was ok to receive us. It's a great quiet place to spend some days in !

Red Bus is a pretty small hostel, so not good if you're looking for a party vibe. My group was just looking for a place to sleep and shower. The dorms were spacious, beds were comfortable. There weren't many bathrooms - one shower, two toilets. But as long as you don't try to shower during the morning rush, it's fine. Walking distance to most of the city sights.

This place is really pretty nice--close to the river on the Pest side, with lots of pedestrian zones nearby with good food and beer. The only downside is that this place can be really, really dirty. Luckily I had my choice of beds, because one of the two had hair and what I'm hoping is lint all over it, as did the one chair in the room. Also, I would recommend taking a page from Douglas Adams--ALWAYS BRING A TOWEL. The hostel's towels were still and filthy--I don't think they ever wash them.

I wanted to stay longer but they were going to charge me a lot more so I re-booked on Hostel world because it was cheaper. They were livid and they wanted the money that I gave to the site in their pocket. They didn't handle it correctly, and treated me terribly. I felt super uncomfortable. But if you don't do that, it's good. Nice kitchen. Nice travelers. You never have to get involved with the staff and it would be better.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Red Bus Hostel. Location was superb, being within walking distance (and metro if desired) to all the major sights. Security was high and we found the hostel to be very clean. Staff at the front desk were very helpful and informative.
