Nako was an incredibly welcoming and informative host. Provided a map and filled me in on where to go and what to see in the city. Felt very much at ease in the home and assured that I could call on Nako for help if needed. View of ocean from my bedroom was spectacular. Note that there are stairs up the hill leading to the house. Nothing too strenuous but not ideal if you have poor mobility. Not an issue If driving.

The real Dubrovnik. If your looking for a cheap authentic stay, then this is the place for you. Its a 20 min walk from the Old town which is a nice way to see more of Dubrovnik rather than just the tourist hot spots. It was a little difficult to find so id get a taxi the first time going there. Nako, his Mother & father are absolutely lovely & Nako will give you all the info you need for your stay & he'll give you his phone number incase your lost or need some extra information! I Love Dubrovnik

You can't get a more gracious host than Nako, whose charming family home in Gruz - about a 20-minute walk from Old Town - will soon enough feel like your own house. He goes out of his way to ensure you're enjoying yourself, offering up loads of information and local tips, and even giving you his cell phone number in case you need help while you're out exploring Dubrovnik. The rooms are spacious and clean, too, so if you're looking to avoid the exorbitant Old Town hotel prices, stay here.

The Red Dwarf guesthouse was a great place to stay my first time in Dubrovnik. The view from the guesthouse to the Harbor is unreal and Nako was such a nice person and great host. He asked what kind of room I was interested in and set me up with a room with a balcony and everything I could of needed. I enjoyed my time at Red Dwarf and will definetely be returning during summertime to share some more laughs and good moments with Nako and his family. Great people and a great stay. Cheers

This was more a home than a hostel - and i loved it as a result. You stay in the home of a local family who are more than committed to you having a good stay. It's a little far from the old town (20 minutes walk, 15 minutes bus), but it's worth it to stay in such a lovely home.
