Stayed 4 nights at this hostel. Really good. Beds are big with a reading light and a small area to store valuables. Also aircon in the room, that you can control yourself. Location is perfect. In the middle of little India, next to the Chinese temple, actually everything in the old center of Georgetown is within walking distance. Everything really clean to and cleaned every day. Showers are excellent. Only 2 minor things, toilet door is almost in your face, and internet was more slow then not.

Had a great stay here. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the beds are big, comfy and have 2 pillows and blankets & towels provided. Each bed has a reading light and little cupboard to store valuables and charge your gadgets up. The place is spotlessly clean. Excellent breakfast and tea & coffee always on the go, plus cold water filter. Location is very good, not too far from temples etc...Would highly recommend and stay again if I had the choice.

The hostel was close to little india and had an ok breakfast, but the staff was unorganized and a bit unfriendly (exception was a guy during last night). We scheduled an airport pickup, but no one showed up (and after we called it took more than 1 hour & a half). When we got to the hotel (passed 3pm), no one apologized for the pickup and our tiny room w/o windows wasn't ready. We then decided to upgrade the room, but the lady at the receptionist wasnt adding up our hostelworld deposit. A mess!

Originally, we booked a dormitory room for 4 people. But,when we arrived at the hostel, the receptionist informed us that their staff made a mistake and forgot to close the portal. The room that we wanted to book was also requested by the other guest almost at the same time. So we were not able to get the dormitory room. Since it was their mistake, they gave us a private room, but we only need to pay our original remaining balance. So i think their service was good. :)

I'm enjoying my stay there only for one night together with my friend & sister. Really impressed with the atmosphere & the staff are so friendly. They manage quite impressive in terms of cleanliness . Only minor feedback recieved from my friend is that the room a little bit small to accommodate 4 peoples. On top of that, I really recommended to those who seeking different atmosphere & it's really value for your money !

Common areas of Red Inn are nice, as are the showers, toilets are too small for an average-height Westerner to sit down and close the door unless you sit sideways. I've stayed a few places in Penang so I'm used to rooms with no windows, however the room we had at Red Inn was really tiny. There was a bunk bed and no space for anything else in the room. It would make the room feel bigger and less depressing if they would put a mirror on the wall. Also, there was a mouse in the room. Grade: B

This is a pretty nice hostel. It has very good location. I came from Langkawi to Penang by ferry and the hostel is quite close to the jetty. The hostel has a beautiful traditional Chinese style setting. And it is very quiet. But there were a lot of mosquitoes in my room...Apart from that, I love this hostel very much. Good food, nice staff, beautiful setting, good location and awesome shower!

While the four bed dorm room was on the small side and didn't have lockers, Red-inn Court is clean, well located and has good common areas on the ground floor. The spa showers and the included breakfast of both local and wetsern food were excellent. I'd deffinatley return if I am in Penang again.

The service is quite nice, and the bathroom is awesome! very big shower :)) But maybe you have to increase the cleanliness there, like flushing down the toilet after people use it. The service too, when I were there, I wasn't lucky because the internet connection was down. Maybe if there is a trouble with the connection you don't wait it too long. But in average, it is quite good! :)

I ve booked for 2 days. but ended up staying for a week. Definitely the best hostel(dorm) I have stayed in SE Asia.. well worth the money you pay.. the stuff are great and helpful... it was always clean. comfortable bed with individual light, locker with power supplies, free wifi and pc to use... common room where you can watch movies.. good to meet other travelers... one of the best free breakfasts with fresh fruits, noodles, cakes, and many more.. location is great..walking distance to ferry.

Great stay-clean and very practical setup-each bed was a bit larger than the normal twin-you also have a small cabinet for personal effects-along with a charging outlet. Bathrooms were clean and showers were rain showers with jets. Lots of racks for drying. Laundry can be done for reasonable price. Location is right by one of the oldest temples-goddess of mercy and next to little India. Morning breakfast for me consisted of roti and fruit, and fried noodles-free. Nice tv area with movies
