Nice hostel with great simple breakfast. Very clean, awesome location, comfy beds. But don't put your stuffs anywhere in the bathroom area or sink, I put my little bag of toiletries and someone grabbed it away. But overall, great hostel!!!

I reached the hotel at 1.30pm. Check-in time was supposed to be at 2pm; but the receptionist asked me to wait (did not tell me what time he will be done). I waited for 45 mins and went back to the reception desk by myself, asked him again, and he said please come back at 3pm. I went for lunch and came back at 3pm and it was a lady receptionist there this time and she made me wait till 4pm. I was so frustrated, wasted my few hours by just waiting when I could have gone places.

Breakfast was included and included tradtional food, fruit and toast, a rarity to have so much variety. The room I was in was tiny, a four bed one but lucky there was no one else in there as there would have been no room for any luggage! Really nice staff.

The impression is good. Although the dorm in the center of the building could have some more space for the backpacks...

4 bed female dorm was size of a railway carriage! Barely enough room for 4 people to stand - I dragged my bag into corridor to be able to find my things and moved to roommates on 2nd night. Beds were comfy, and air con was good. Small locker, plug socket and light by bed. Breakfast was good - fresh fruit, toast and local dishes. Communal area opens into street and location is great.

The staff were very friendly and helpful from the minute we arrived, nice clean dorms VERY comfy beds and pillows. Amazing showers! We made use of the lounge area to watch films when it was raining which was nice. Also easy to access must visit areas like little india, love lane etc.

Pros: clean, good breakfast provided, located on a busy and safe street, staff members available and willing to help, room was well air conditioned, towel provided, each bunk has personal reading lamp and storage space. Cons: dorm room was small and cramped, private locker space not very large, communal area was not well lit and so did not feel very inviting.

Very big, comfy beds. Free breakfast is better than other guesthouses in town, and there's free tea and coffee all day which is nice. It's a little too big for my taste, but if you're only spending a few nights you can do that here in comfort and for cheap!

I like the hostel because it is close to everything. The staffs were nice and helpful. Breakfast was not that bad, except coffee could be provided more decently. I was hardly able to get one cup of nice coffee every day because the brewing was not that great, either the coffee were light or too strong. Overall, it was a pleasure to stay there. Thank you!

Staff were not very helpful in giving directions or ideas of things to do in George Town. Also I caught the security sleeping at night, so anyone could have walked in. But the building itself is fine. The shared washroom facilities were kept clean.

This was an exceptionally amazing hostel. If there were to be a ranking, I would consider this as a high-class hostel but at a relatively value for money price. We were a group of 6, so we rented out the dorm for 6 people and everyone commented and how great this hostel was. It has a bit of a charm to it, being all in red, and considering it is in a colonial heritage house, it adds character. Facilities are modern and very clean. Even has hair dryer and soap.

I really love the whole bed n bathroom, the cleanliness, fan n ac in the room plus a big mirror! Great! Vary choices of breakfast. Located in the middle of Harmony Street, really easy to go to all spots nearby! The staff are really helpful too!

Good - location, friendly, great breakfast, clean, relaxed atmosphere, value. Not so good - four bed female dorm was a windowless box, no room to swing a cat let alone four people's luggage. Positives outweigh negatives so would stay here again. Could be more eco-friendly eg recycle paper/plastic, use water-saving showerheads.

the location is great, red inn court is a stylish house, but the room and washroom are very clean, convenient and comfortable

A real luxus for a traveller with huge and comfortable bed and a very nice stuff. I liked the atmosphere as well. I do not recommend to rent a bike, you can not use it due to the city traffic and to the poor condition of the bikes in general.

I love to stay here, staffs were awesome. they're so helpful and friendly. bed was nice, with blanket and personal locker. definitely would recommend this place for travellers. the bathroom and toilet were so clean, and they provide us with bath soap. free tea/coffee all day long. breakfast was great, bread with jam, some kind of traditional meal of malay (rice with such small fish, spicy one), and yes, fruits like watermelon, melon, papaya, and banana. great great breakfast, huh? yes...

The hotel is very clean and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. However, we were quite uncomfortable when the smokers smoke at the tv area as we could smell it from our room.
