Really good location. If u are in the 24 bed dorm you are in another building but it's on the same street as they others. Tea, coffees and water available all day which is nice. The guy working there is really helpful as well. Overall a good stay.

This is a clean place in a good location. It's amazingly cheap, too. The staff are quite friendly and they helped with food recommendations. My one suggestion for the staff is, if you have an African/African-American/Black guest, please don't ask to touch or try to touch his or her hair. It's actually really rude.

Nice hostel, everyone theres really friendly. Just make sure you know what your paying for as we had a little mix up with money. Was all sorted fine though! Clean. Only downside is there was no aircon and was so hot! But its a new building still being done, 3 red inns on same road and you get free breakfast at one. Good atmosphere an hawkers market nearby. Good transport all close too.

Safe to say, this hostel has the best showers in Asia (and they're hot!). We were in the 6 bed, very comfortable. Joe was very friendly and there was 24hour free coffee, tea and water.

Very nice place! Easy to meet people and free breakfast. Know that the 24 bed dorm is in another building and is not including the breakfast, but you can still use the computers/tv at the actual red inn heritage, would stay again!

Be warned if you book a 24bed dorm you won't be in red inn heritage you'll be sent to "an extension" down the road, a building with nothing in but the dorm. Toilets and showers always dirty and soaking wet. No aircon and 2 ceiling fans did nothing. Mouse ran over my bed. Moved to a 4bed dorm in main building the next day. Rooms better and toilets showers cleaner. Stay upstairs if poss. Big common area but no atmosphere. Female reception staff rude. Can't deny excellent location though.

I really enjoyed this place, cheap compared too other guesthouses, extremely clean and the staff were awesome. It's really chilled out atmosphere. Gets warm at night so aircon would be nice. Aiden

I recommend this place to all pinoys who want to go there in Penang... And also to all foreigners because of the good services they can offer. Very accomodating and the price is good enough to all backpackers like me.

I really enjoyed my stay here. It was nice that no one wore shoes upstairs because that kept the place cleaner. The common area was nice and large, and a good place for chatting with fellow travelers. Thank you for providing a hard drive with so many movies to watch! And thank you for providing free internet access on the two communal computers.

Staff were great, had problems with aircon and hose in the bathroom but they sorted both of these within the hour. Good location, easy walking distance to sites, restaurants, hawker stalls and a few bars. Room didn't have a window. Really nice communal area for breakfast/watching dvds/relaxing. Small area outside to sit as well. Walls were very thin and wooden floors made it pretty loud at night.Room wasn't made up and bin wasn't changed during the 4 nights we stayed. Breakfast was good.

just at the North-Eastern end of the heritage district of George Town, this is a great place to explore the city. The area has its fair share of budget accommodation and a hawker street food market is not far off. There was however an issue with our room, it smelt of petrol the entire stay. Talking to staff did not alleviate the situation as we were told that they are aware of it but cannot do anything about it.

Red Inn Heritage is one of a good hostel in strategic area, George Town. This hostel has a good service and furniture for customer. I enjoyed when I staying in this hostel. See you next time if I trip to Penang again :)

The air cond in room 201 is not working. We were literally waking up with sweat on the following morning. The water supply on the first floor cut off halfway while my friends were taking bath, they ended up going to the ground floor to resume their bath. But all in all we had a pleasant stay. The guesthouse is worth the amount of money that we paid.

Rude receptionist on arrival. Not helpful and uninterested when we asking about location of things. Tiny box room no windows, so not value for money.
