This is a great hostel! Located conveniently near to Chulia Rd. and the UNESCO world heritage sites in Georgetown. It has a/c and was very private. A little loud in the morning though.

red-in is heritage house. so every facility is old. but if you want to stay at heritage house, it's not problum to you. It's good experience. In my room has a air conditioner , it's working well. but common use space doesn't have air conditioner , just fan at ceiling. so som hot in common use space location is good. because red-in doesn't close at main road (lube chulia?). so you can sleep easily. and near restorant "little angel" is very delicious (malaysia traditional food) and cheap.

it's my second time to stay in Red Inn. It keeps up with her convienience and character. We arrived late in the midnight (around 3am) by taxi, and staff are still available to help us for checking-in! One thing I hope to improve: the design of bathroom, i hope the toilet and shower can be separated. If some hooks or sleves can be provided would be very great!! Because I have to space to put my clean clothes every time. Besides, if mirror can be provided in two-bed room would be lovely!

Nice place, really nice staff but our room wasn't that nice, the paint was falling off the walls because of the condensation and you could hear everybody upstairs loud and clear because the ceiling is the floor boards for upstairs. However, the bed was lovely and clean and I had a nice stay.

A good point ;There is a wash drying ground which can relax since it is small in the number of beds. A bad point ;Seemingly the wind of an air-conditioner with little tissue is dust. Since the wash drying ground is outside, if night comes, a key is closed and it must go to the back side of a building to carry out the long way around and to take. Moreover, trousers were stolen. Since a heavy load carries long stairs by itself since there is no boy employee whose omelet and Vienna sausage o

Really small shower room without space for hanging your cloths. There are no locker in the room to keep your value belonging. Other than that is pretty good.

Nothing can beat the hospitality of this hostel. I even became friends with the frontline receptionist, Zul and Banji. Besides the excellent location, in the middle of historical site & tourist spot where you can easily find great hawker food stalls, even during midnight. I definitely would like to come back!

You can't beat the location -- right at the heart of all actions in Penang. The room is a little bit spartan at best, but I am fine with that as long as I did not spend much time in the hostel

Staff ranged from friendly to awesome. Great location, lots of good food & Georgetown sights nearby. Only complaint was that the walls were somewhat thin between my double room and the next larger dorm. I'm not sure whether most of the other rooms were as close together as ours though.

The breakfast is great - do not miss! Some staff are unhelpful compared with others. The shower/toilet blocks are pretty small but the beds and the dorms are large.
