Hostelworld says:
Red Palm was rated first in Malaysia at the 2009 Hoscars and is located about 20 minutes' walk from KL Tower and Chinatown. Hostelworld guests have told us again and again that 'what really separates this hostel from the others is the welcoming staff and friendly, homely atmosphere', which is 'akin to being in a friend or family member's home'. Our travellers also say they'd stay here again. We particularly like the resident cats and the restaurant next door.

Looking for a place to hang out, relax, meet friendly faces and experience the cultural diversity and hospitality of Malaysia?
Red Palm is not a party hostel, it is a place where you can feel at home, relax and kick back in the middle of the bustling city.
We are a hostel for backpackers in Bukit Bintang, or the 'Golden Triangle' which is the major shopping and dining district. The food nearby ... don't get us started on this one ... mmmmh. You can even directly order food and drinks from the Indian restaurant next door through the fence without even having the leave our premises ;)
We are located in a historical colonial house and our guests always mention the homely atmosphere in the house.
We also offer broadband internet, printing, CD-burning, phone facilities, travel desk and tour excursions, laundry service, book swap corner and a shelf with tons of travel info for Malaysia and SE Asia. An ideal place to chill-out and socialize with other travellers and us, watch Satellite TV and DVDs or simply update your travel status to your family and friends. Breakfast is inclusive as well as tea and coffee all day long.
Free Wi-Fi or an hour free usage on Computer Terminals (nominal fee of RM4 for extra additional hour)
We are looking forward to sharing our cultural and travel experiences with you.

Red Palm says
I think we offer a lot of things that make us special. We're a small hostel with only 13 beds, right in Kuala Lumpur's CBD. We've got a spacious lounge where guests can socialise and exchange their travelling experiences or simply chill out and watch telly. There's also a book exchange, one of the staples of backpacking which is becoming less popular and fading out elsewhere - but it's still being practiced at Red Palm. Plus, we like to organise communal home-cooked dinners and surprise birthday celebrations occasional for our guests. So I guess the one thing that makes us special is the people who will go the extra mile to ensure that our guests have a memorable stay.

There's so much to see around here, since we're centrally situated within the Golden Triangle. There are numerous varieties of food available nearby, with a famous street-food area (Alor Street, or Jalan Alor as the locals say it) just a stone's throw away from here. I particularly recommend a nearby vegetarian restaurant that's open from 9am to 11pm.
I've heard a lot of our guests refer to our hostel as their 'nest'. They tend to come back for the familiar warmth of the people and the environment. They first check in as guests and they check out as friends.Hostelworld Guests Say
RED PALM was simply amazing. The location could not have been more ideal it was extremely convenient for the \"hop on hop off bus.\" The staff made our stay incredibly comfortable and assisted us with our every whim. It was a short stay but they had so many activities for us to compact into the few short days. Thank you so much! We look forward to visiting again.
