Pros: - I arrived to the hostel almost at midnight and the girl at the reception was nice enough to put me in an empty dorm so that I didn't wake up the others. - Cool taxi driver. Cons: - The beds I tried were all completely deformed, very hard to sleep on. - The rooftop is not really closed at night and you can hear absolutely everything that goes on there, so it is very difficult to sleep if someone wants to continue their party there after coming back to the hostel.
Only spent one night in Red Llama, but everything was perfect. My flight was delayed five hours, but they still picked me up with the shuttle. Staff was very nice and helpful. Location was ideal for me. Everything was clean. Atmosphere was fine. Breakfast was a little simple but was free. Totally recommend it.
Great place to base yourself for a few days in Miraflores..good location as close enough to all the action but 5 mins away to make it quieter at night. Was pretty quiet when stayed there so wasn't really an atmosphere and none of the activities mentioned in the listing were forthcoming! Some staff great but others couldn't care less even when pushed! Would stay here again as immaculately clean with great showers and to see if any better when more people staying
Not everybed has socket. Wifi is gd. It will be gd to have more than one common toilet on 2nd floor. Abit too squeezy to put 5beds in a room.
NIce quiet hostel very close to the center of Miraflores. Good selection of food and nightlife close by. Good hot shower. I'll stay again if I'm ever in Lima. Staff was friendly and helpful about the area. Good breakfast.
Red Psycho Llama is one of the best hostels I've stayed at. The staff was amazing! They helped us figure out how to get to a hike a couple of hours away, and introduced us to our first (and best) Pisco Sours. The rooms are clean, we loved the art and the Eco-friendly room themes, and included breakfast. We also felt very safe.
Excellent hostel and great staff! Loved the Eco-friendly art and themes. Staff helped us find our way around Lima and introduced us to our first and best Pisco Sours! Clean, safe, fun, and not too loud.
Really friendly staff, great location and value for money. Unfortunately, there is no one monitoring the noise that other guests make and I was kept up for two nights by a group of rowdy teenagers. If there are signs up around the hostel saying "please don't make noise after midnight" then it is the job of the staff to tell noisy guests to SHUT UP. Otherwise, great place, great stay, would recommend to other travellers.

Very nice Hostel, best possible location in Miraflores: close to Parque Kennedy - the center of it all, but in a relatively quiet side street. The Hostel concept ist recycling and they do it with a lot of charme - nice decoration of dorms and common rooms. The staff is very helpful and nice. Good breakfast. What else do you need? Best hostel in Perú we've been to.
Hostel is full of children of all ages. If you are looking for a high school or college type party, then go here. It's full of kids partying like a great house. His looking to get laid, disrespectful drink people in dorms and you will never get any sleep. Seemed very clicky. If you are replaced and down to earth don't go there.
Really good hostel in a good location. Staff were extremely helpful. Good breakfast and a good kitchen. Hot, powerful shower which is always a bonus. No complaints!
The hostel is very clean and tidy and has ecofriendly decorations which gives it a nice touch. Breakfast is served every morning from 9-12am. The dorm rooms are small and usually have 4-5 beds each. Lockers are also small and only stows a small set of valuables. Blankets are thin so bring an extra blanket during the winter months as the hostel is cold. Inka and India Market are just around the corner for tourist shopping along with restaurants.
My friend and I booked a private twin room which turned out to be in the back part of the hostel and about the size of a walk in closet. The window didn't stay shut which made the room kind of cold. If it had been warmer outside this wouldn't have been an issue. The dorms were in the main part of the hostel though. The staff was great and the location was excellent - a few blocks to Parque Kennedy and 2 blocks from the Metro. And it did my green heart good to stay someplace that recycles!
The hostel was in a great location! The staff were excellent and always willing to help whenever needed. It's a great little place with a wonderful rooftop deck and comfortable and re;axing atmosphere. The rooms were also very nice.
Friendly and helpful staff as well as great location. The rooms were comfortable and the common space was good too. I recommend this hostel if you want a relaxed stay in Miraflores. There were´nt so many people there when I was there, and I´d like to see it grow as a business. Nice if you´re not wanting a party hostel, but just a nice mellow stay in Miraflores to see the sights.
Best location and small, more cozy hostel beats the bigger hostels hands down. Cool vibe and helpful staff makes this place a winner.
