very nice hostel, the subway is a bit far but it is still OK. Didn't try the food! I will come back!

This hostel was one of the best I have stayed at. The best part was socialising with people from other countries drinking 4 RMB Tsing Tao beers during the olympics. Staff will go out of their way to help you, and it has a homely feel. It is in a non touristy area (a hutong) which gives you an insight into the way real beijingers live (plus theres plenty of cheap restaurants etc around).

This was my second time at the red lantern. I stayed there two years ago and it was so nice coming back. Tina did a great job for me to help me with my flights. Thank you again.

nice environment, helpful staff; but the tour to the Gerat Wall to Mutianyu was really disappointing and too expensive at all for nothing to see. Pls discribe your tours better.

Excellent place! I read reviews before my trip and decided to go for Red Lantern and there was nothing to disappoint me. Every bit as excellent as expected!

A very good hostel in Beijing! The location is very good in the old Hutong area, and most places are easily accessible .Staff are very friendly and helpful, and speak very good english. They helped us get to Mongolia, just before the olympics, when tickets were hard to get.The food is extremely good and they have everything you need in a hostel. Good security, 24h open reception. I really loved this place and I recommend it for everybody.
