Great value for money - free wifi, movies in common area and free dinner. Security in and out if hostel was good, but get used to people in your room leaving the for unlocked. Bathrooms could use a little maintenance but were acceptable. Wish there's more hot water though! I would stay here again

Toilet facilities are poor.

I liked my stay there. Though it was rather empty when i reached. The common bathrooms where really clean. The fridgr was pretty full. No lockers in the room!

Good location - about a 5 minute walk to the main part of town - pool and open backyard were great - we could also rent movies from front desk for no charge! Nice air-conditioned rooms too! Only thing I would complain about is the kitchen, so many ants and flys!! They need to figure out a way to close up the kitchen a bit to prevent that problem - really made me not want to cook in there and we are big on cooking at the hostels we stay at. That being said they staff were awesome in all aspects!

The organisation was not the best. There's just cutlery for 2-3 people in the whole kitchen. WiFi and the location is good. There were also lots of ants in the room and you have to pay if you want to use the air condition during the day.

Really lovely stay staff are very friendly, beds are the comfy clean and nice pool area... This is the 3rd hostel I've stayed in Cairns and definitely the best : )

Location was great. staff friendly breakfast was an unexpected bonus. room was nice. No one seemed to wash up after themselves whcih was a bit annoying

The hostel is a nice and cosy place, with friendly staff and a good atmosphere. The location is good in the center of town.For the nonsmokers, there is a lot of smoke at the outdoor area everyday...but cosy and fun

I really loved my stay at Reef backpackers. The free wi-fi and the free meals were great and I really liked that the mixed dorm had walls between every three beds.
