Generally this is quite a good hostel, decent value for money. We had a double room which was fine, good air con, clean etc. The only problems were had was with the kitchen, many appliances were out of order (such as kettle, oven etc) or seemed not to work very well (toaster...). Although you can see that the staff do try and stay on top of things, the kitchen is generally quite dirty and full of flies/ants/other insects. They do provide good sized lockers and fridges for your food though

Stayed overnight just before it cost me $7 for 1 night. FREE INTERNET / FREE WIFI with excellent connexion. The female dorm was ok, clean and with huge space but at some point you thing there is lot of people. The facilities are not the newest with the last designed dorms but it's ok to sleep. STAFF is very nice. Hostel is the same street as all the hostel, so the location is alright. Did not have the time to try the swimming pool though

I would go back. Well located.Room was clean and had air con. Garden and swimming pool were nice.Bathrooms are clean, kitchen and other common spaces not very much.Breakfast is supposed to be included and available between 8.30 and 9.30, but it was appearing and disappearing at some random time and there was always something missing (milk, jam etc). When i was there it was very quiet, but was low season. Every day you can get voucers to have dinner paying a drink in a pub! In general i liked it.

Very rundown, shabby and smelly. It is advertised as having a ircon, yet this is on a timer that doesnt turn on unti l midnight. Stay elsewhere.

The hostel building has a nice character, like a Farm house with Baby blue walls. i like it. The Reception forgot that we`re a girls dorm and put 2 guys in our room. Breakfast was ok,but you didn`t felt Good to ask the pancake Chef again,if you maybe can get a second pancake.

Nice cheap hostel, good location in town. The kitchen got a bit messy but i think that's just what happens when other backpackers are lazy! staff were nice though and helpful whenever we had questions. the outdoor area was really big which was nice. rooms simple but good for the price

Many tings were ruined and old. The kitchen was dirty and had almost no equipment. Not a hostel worth the money and would not recommend it to others.

The hostel is looking good, with a lot of good people.. Close to everything, like the lagoon and the city for some beer:) Cairns is a perfect city for a few weeks of relaxing... Always good people and the best weather on or planet Ciao

Within an hour of being there we noticed there were bedbugs on our beds, we called the managers who came to meet us 5 minutes after our call to assess the situation. They took care of everything flawlessly, gave us another place to stay and helped us with cleaning of all of our stuff. Unfortunately bedbugs happen, but the way they took care of the problem, I couldn't have asked for more. The bedbug problem is now fixed, but I can't say much about the hostel as we were moved to another place.
