Refron du Mar Bed & Breakfast Paraty Reviews

The bathroom and shower was excellent and the room quite big. Breakfast was also good. Overall a friendly, quiet and relaxed pousada (not really a hostel) right in front of the beach but it lacks atmosphere and a cosy common area. The dining hall is not an inviting place to hang out and meet other guests, especially at night because of the neon lights. All in all, good value for money, though.

The rooms were spotless and comfortable, with both fan and air con, new and gorgeous bathroom with great shower. The family that run the venue are lovely, very warm and welcoming and very helpfull if you need advise. The breakfast is lovely fresh fruit and homemade cake with beach veiws. Perfect for a quiet romantic b & b on the beach without the resort pricetag.

This simple, well kept hostel/pousada is cleaner, quieter, and possibly more affordable than its neighbors, Misti Chill and Gecko. The shower was fantastic, a rare treat at this price point, and the breakfast was fine, but nothing special. For me, the location on the Praia de Pontal can't be beat, with its scenic beauty and proximity to the historic center. Refron du Mar did not let down in any way, even considering the budget price, and I would definitely return!

Refro du Mar is a great bed and breakfast! The location is perfect, step out the front door and you are on the beach, and the historic town center is just a five minute walk away. The family that runs it is very sweet and helped make my stay in Paraty extra special. The accomodations are comfortable and clean, and the atmosphere is welcoming and professional. I would recommend this bed and breakfast to any friend or family membet visiting Paraty!
