I stayed there two night and I have to admit it is a great hostel according to what you pay. The location is just brilliant in the middle of Chinatown, lively area and close to the main sights. Breakfast was ok, and super friendly and helpful staff. Eeverything was tidy and clean. One thing that I really liked is that as soon as we checked in, they gave us a ticket and we could have a drink for free and the nearby Reggea Mansion bar, which is a cool terrace-disco with a nice view of the city.

Stayed here 2 years ago and seems upkeep is not as good as for the Guesthouse 2. Location very good and staff helpful, simple breakfast and drinks provided and spacious common areas.

Small clean rooms with bunk beds in the middle of China town.

Excellent location, well signposted from the nearest LRT station (Pasar Seni), a good bar downstairs, and friendly staff. My only possible criticism is the small dorm, but that only aids socialising :)

Showers are powerful but in a cramped wet room with the toilet which is a bit grim. The rooms don't have windows, but this is quite typical Wifi was available and reasonably reliable. Could of done with a sheet to separate ones body from the brown itchy blankets that don't look appealing. The bar next door is lively and does make a good amount of noise throughout the night so if you want a really relaxing stay I would maybe stay somewhere else.

Free breakfast, cool staff, awesome location (trains/sites), warning...this location is next to a bar, if you are a light sleeper don't book here. It's also time for new mattresses! Overall, perfect location for food/shopping and easily getting around the city.
