Reggae Hostel has everything you need for a stay in Kingston... It's spacious, the area is nice & its easy getting to places (supermarket, bus park etc.).. I was positively surprised by how clean the hostel is!! I was a little disappointed by the staff though since they seemed annoyed giving tipps or information about things in Kingston. Especially Max seemed as if he'd rather sit around doing nothing (except smoking) than helping guests or being friendly... that's the only thing missing I'd say

We spent very few hours in the place but it looked very relaxed and safe, which is quite difficult in Kingston!

Scottie and staff were very friendly. Think the price vis-a-vis facilities is a bit high, but we enjoyed our two days.

Seems everyone travelling the island you bump into will recommend staying here, and when i arrived i found out why. The place has everything you need for a good night. Staff are friendly and the place is 100% safe, pretty much a fortress. The down side is it is a bit of a trek to the center of town but easy enough to get to in taxi of bus. The bar area is great for the those travellers going alone to meet other travellers.

A bit out of town, but in a good area for eating and groceries, and has good security. The staff are very welcoming and the bar makes it a nice place to spend an evening if you don't fancy wandering into Kingston late at night...

My stay at this hostel was absolutely flawless. The place has great atmosphere and a very sociable character. If you are travelling alone you won't find it difficult to have a drink or two with fellow travellers and experience some of the great nightlife Kingston has to offer. Hostel is in a good place and you will find it easy to navigate yourself around the city. Zana, Tash and Max who work there are great hosts and will advice you on best parties and places to visit. Go there, you will enjoy!

Besides the clean rooms and common areas, the Reggae Hostel has a large outside area and even a bar! I had a great time there both on the nights I wanted to have a few and on the nights I just wanted to relax and take it easy. I highly recommend this hostel.

As everywhere on Jamaika you pay a lot of money for almost no service or quality. I guess for the money it´s still the best hostel in town. Talk to the owner...he seems to be very helpfull with an open ear.

it should be possible to hear something different than dancehall or reggae for just ten or twenty minutes if all people around would like to.... everything else was great :)

This was my first experience in Jamaica as well as a hostel. This was one of the best budget places Ive stayed in all my years traveling! Great wifi facilities and top notch security. There are also two computers availible for free use. No complaints!

Worried about staying in a hostel for the first time, especially in Kingston. Staying at the Reggae Hostel was amazing! The hostel is really nice and the staff are all super friendly. I am definitely staying here every time I come to Kingston!

People in the hostel was spectacular. Kind of dirty but to be a hostel is ok. Staff people is nice and friendly. Around is just ok, sometimes seems like dangerous. But my biggest concern is the wifi connection. Internet SUCKS. I had to work in something and was almost all the time with problems in the signal. I use to go to hostels and this is the only time I had problems with wifi. I am not gonna come back again.
