I stayed here only for one night, so I cannot say too much about the location. Kingston is huge and I saw very little. Close to the hostel are nice restaurants and taxi is easy and fast to order via phone. People working in hostel are welcoming, friendly and helpful. And I got fresh coffee ready made every time I went to the kitchen. Yes!

Such a great place to stay, the staff was amazing and so friendly and helpful. There is a lovely homey atmosphere which is so good for travellers. We ended up staying a few days more because we loved it there so much. I would definitely recommend it and return if ever I am in Kingston again.
Maybe the best place to stay in Kingston. I stayed in Reggae two times - when I arrived to Jamaica, and the night before departure, and I wasn't disappointed. The city is not so intersting, as well as the island in total but if you come there, it's better to stay in a real classic hostel.
Reggae Hostel is 15 minutes walking distance to the Half Way Tree bus terminal, as well as a supermarket. They are superb about arranging shared taxis for outings and the location in the middle of a residential area is safer than most -daytime hours a woman has no problems walking alone. Easy taxi or bus service to other sights - knowledgeable staff are generous with their time and smiles. The eight bed dorm is tight and very hot with only one fan, get a bed close to it. Clean bathrooms.
A quiet hostel with great facilities. Security is top notch which was really important. The staff are really fun and were always there to help. Highly recommended.
Really nice space and great atmosphere. The staff tries to help you the most with tips. Loved it!
Extremely warm and helpful people-doing their utmost to ensure your Jamaican experience is marvelous-open and willing to assist wheresoever necessary, never getting tired because they believe and live the theme-one feels at home around them, conveniently located close to Half Way Tree, Bob Marley Museum, affordable shopping, wide choices of eateries, night clubs and gifted souvenirs. Highly recommended 365 days. Kudos and thanks to Ambassador Scotty, Zana, Shanti and the feline Fire ONE LOVE

One of the nicer budget places to stay in Kingston. You can walk to the major transport hub and the directions are given in writing on the notice board. Very relaxing environment in the day and chance to party at night. Not the safest of cities for females to travel alone and walking from the hostel can be scary at times, and can never be done at night. The staff are extremely cheery and helpful
Very safe hostel that has a camera at the gate and an intercom. Staff were uber friendly and helpful. It is a walk away to the shopping centres and eatery.
Very nice staff, big house with a cool backyard and a nice bar, always clean and quite safe around the area. Can't complaint about anything, the BBQ was also a very nice touch!
Scotty (the owner) is really helpful and can give a lot of helpful hints. Probably the best place for backpackers in Kingston.
I had a wonderful time, would definitely stay again!
Great staff, friendly and helpful in planning activities day and night.
