The staff were all very friendly and spoke very good english. The only problems were that the room was freezing due to the windows and shutters having big gaps and not closing properly. The shower flooded every time and the facilities were not really explained, as we were not told that there was free Wifi downstairs, or if they served food at the Hotel. It would also be helpful to point out that the Hostel is not on the main Island and a water bus is required to get to the main attractions.

The only problem was the location. The hotel is in an island far 3o minutes to the main island. You need take a boat to get there and the price of the sigle trip is 6,50 euros!!!

Very friendly staff, the recepcionist let us stay after checkout to wait for the train, using the wi-fi in the place. Nice rooms, good location, beside away from the principal atractions, it is a good costXbenefit.

We booked for one night but we had to stay for two. The staffs was nice, they gave is a first floor room since we had some heavy luggage. The room was too cold and the heater wasnt working that much but we have like 3 extra blanckets. The wifi worked only on the lobby, the breakfast was paid (10 euros which is a LOT of money) and the whole hotel smelled like tabbaco so if you dont like that smell dont stay there. It was in Lido island, 1 hour on a boat from the train station.

1. Service of breakfast is not good; 2. Wifi is not always working; 3. People smoke in the hotel.

There were crushed bugs on the wall and the sheets had a strong scent...not sure from what cleaning detergent they used. It is located in Lido in a good location which is a short waterbus ride away from the main part of Venice. The price was cheap and we got a private room for me and my girlfriend. Do not get the breakfast, it isn't worth the 5 euros that they charge for it. Overall, I would recommend if you are looking for a cheap place to stay in an otherwise very expensive city.

Very good for the price, breakfast was too expensive so we didn't try it. I think maybe 3.50 Euros would encourage more people to have it.

Due to unforseen circumstances we had to find accommodation on Lido at the last minute. We booked into the Rotel Reiter and found a warm welcome 1 hour later. We didn't know how long we would be staying but the staff were extremely accommodating and found us a room every day that we needed it and let us use their kitchen facilities over Christmas!

Worth the price. Its a 10 minutes walk from the Lido pier, you could have save more money on boats if you're staying in the main Venice island.

The staff (main man at the reception desk) was really friendly and helpful. We were only there one night but if was comfortable and warm (we visited in December). 2 things we didn't enjoy were travelling by boat for an hour to get there (there must be a quicker way, but we didn't find it) and there were not maps for tourists in the hotel... It would be helpful if there were maps/guides of some sort available. We didn't try the breakfast. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

I had a wonderful stay in Reiter Hotel for four nights during the low season. Absolutely great value for money. Had a small problem with hot water the first day but everything else was great! I'll stay there again if I go to Venice.

In a good location just up the road from the Lido waterbus stop. Staff are pleasant enough but we found the room very noisy, as the door kept rattling and we could hear a lot of noise late at night and in the morning. It's a decent place for the price, though.

The guys at the front desk were very friendly and extremely accommodating. The hotel is only a short walk from the water bus and extremely easy to get to the tourist parts of venice. It was a great value for you money. No breakfast though but there are several inexpensive cafes on the street.
