Great artsy hostel in perfect location. Staff is very nice and speaks english. It gets VERY hot in the fan rooms (and they should put some safety cages on the fans so people don't injure themselves moving them) but the air-con room is lovely and big. Would definitely stay here again!
I stayed in a 4 person room, the hostel itself was super clean and the atmosphere was relaxing. The staff was wonderful and the breakfast was great. I liked the location, it is a little off the beach but it allows an escape from the crowd and it still walking distance to everything. If I am ever back in Natal, I will be staying there!
Great place to stay i wish i could of had longer, very relaxed vibe. Only issue was a small unique problem on checkout but has been handled really well. Hopefully can come back sometime.
I can recommend this hostel, the staff is very friendly, good breakfast and internet. English is spoken and travel information is given on request. A nice bar with a wide selection of drinks makes the place a good choice for the thirsty traveller.
Generally, a very nice hostel but since we were the only guests there was not really any specific 'athmosphere'. Although the guy working there (maybe the owner) was very nice and talkative plus had great English level. Quick stay, but also very cheap and clean, so high value for money. I would go back.
This was a great hostel with really friendly staff who are always keen to help and also give out great advise on nearby activities and provide local knowledge. The breakfast was great and it is had to find better value for money in Natal
There are no major problems with Republika. It exists, has walls and a ceiling, nice employees and a small bar. The problem is that there are so many better options in the city, including one right up the street (but several blocks closer to the beach..seriously, book at albergue de costa if you can). It has some hammocks that are quite comfortable, but the rooms smell kinda bad and it always felt a little dead. You wont hate Republika, but you wont love it either. It's perfectly average.
It was a great stay and the place made us feel at home immediately. We had the opportunity to experience the awesome cooking skills of the hostel owner and received our free caipirinha on request. The dorms were nice, while the ensuite bathrooms were quite small. Three hammocks in the communal space added to the hostel's fantastic atmosphere. We would always come back!

You are paying for a room with wifi but you cannot get connected in the room but on the reception so that was awful.. The host, an argentinian guy, was very nice by the way..

VERY clean place! Has a lovely lounge area with Brazilian music which I enjoyed very much (Paulinho da Viola :) Close to a major bus station, but the nearest supermarket is a bit far away. The only point which possibly can be improved is the breakfast, which is rather poor.
I really enjoyed my stay at Republika Hostel. The hostel is very well located, near by the beach, a bus stop, and it's a 10 - 15 minutes walk from the pubs and restaurants. The atmosphere of the hostel is great, the staff is very friendly, and they are able to give you all the tips of what to do. The breakfast is good and valuable for the money. Would highly recommend this hostel!! :)

Room was clean, bathroom as well. Really nice staff and good breakfast.
great staff, decided to stay a couple of extra days. close to the beach, pharmacy, shops and a pretty safe location. offers good tours. very small living quarters and bathroom could be cleaned more regularly, otherwise good chill out area and staff were really helpful!
Nice hostel and situated in a good location. The area feels a bit dodgy, all the homes have high walls, electric fencing etc, so caution needs to be taken. Staff and owner are superb, took me to an awesome party in the city and ensured that I moved around the city safely. Hostel is really clean and well looked after, I was there in low season, so was a bit quite, but there is a nice bar area which m sure rocks in high season.
We stayed in a private triple which had big beds, air conditioning, and a private bathroom, and was super cheap. The common spaces in the hostel are beautiful; better than the pictures! And the staff was so great to us -- they helped us order takeout, gave us recommendations on what to do, and the owner of the hostel Anderson bought our gas off us when our rental car broke down and drove us to the airport when we couldn't find a taxi. Definitely recommend!
Great value for money. Simple room but very nice common area. Good breakfast also.
Great value for money, the rooms are small and the beds hard, but it's so cheap! It's in a good location near the beach and with lots of buses nearby, regular Brazilian breakfast, nice staff. Would stay here again.
Staff team very receptive and helpful. The Hostel is in a great zone of Natal. Definitely a great hostel!!
Nice hostel with lots of hammocks to relax in. Supermarket, shopping centre, beach and bars are all within walking distance and there are buses that run from the next street. Rooms can get quite warm at night as they only have a fan but would recommend this hostel.
