Hostel was fine. Had 3 rooms on 3 nights but was our fault. Staff were really friendly- was VERY loud and the staff didn't do anything to quiten things down however. Estuve en el hostal con una amiga un fin de semana. El ambiente de la zona es muy tranquilo, pero si quieres salir de marcha, tiene La Latina muy cerca. En relacion calidad precio me parece perfecto, muy bien situado, a dos minutos de la Puerta del Sol y muy cerca de la boca de metro de Tirso de Molina. The"residence" is in fact a large flat. The owner and her family live in which makes the atmosphere a little less relaxed than in a regular hostel, but if you are looking forwarward to spendig a quite few days in Madrid it is ok. We had an wonderful stay here. The owner was extremely nice and always willing to offer advice. The hostel was clean and in a great location. And although previous reviews noted it was under construction on the outside...this just wasn't an issue. It was neither dusty or too loud. We were surprised to receive our own bathroom, and the free internet was amazing. We definitely recommend staying here.
