Deluxe twin ensuite was a great, clean room with comfortable beds, nice, very clean bathroom, air conditioner, a small fridge, a safe, TV. Staff was professional and helpful. Hostel is very close to Termini train station (and Metro station) and there is a supermarket in the same street nearby. The only thing they should improve is an early lockout - 10AM is a little bit early in my opinion. We got more than we expected in Residenza Guistiniani, and are very satisfied with our stay at Rome.
This was one of my worst hostel experiences. The only perk to staying here was that it was a short walk from the main metro station in Rome, which allowed you easy access to the entire city. All of the "amenities" provided were subpar. The breakfast was meager, the wifi legitimately did not work for anyone for my entire stay. They did not know how to work the credit card machine and then forgot to record that I had paid. I had to wait for them to dig out my receipt, nearly missing my train.
If you want air condition this may not be the best choice as we were moved from one room to another. The girls working in the place were terrific but a not so pleasant manager in the morning was not to pleased that I had asked for my night of no air condition to be comped. The rooms are very nice. It's close to the station. There is a great coffee shop right downstairs as well called Rio Bar.
