The location is not far from the station. The locality is quiet. The house owner is very nice. But one thing, they did not make it clear that the tax is not included in the price. I think they tried to say that, but it was not there.

All worth for your money. We had a very kind host - Lucas. It was a good experience. The location was just right and convenient.

Luca, the man in charge, was really nice. But the place is not nice. It is clean and quiet but too dark and cold in the room.

Hostelworld messed up our reservation, but the guy in charge of this hostel helped us get a new one in a different place,. You can definitely tell that he knows his way around venice and that he can help all the lost tourists to get a better feel for the city.

Our stay at Maddalena made us dislike Venice. We landed (and were flying out of) Venice, so we had booked to stay there on 2 seperate occasions. The only reason we kept the second booking was because we realized what a maze the city was, and didn't think we'd be up to navigating our way to another site after a long trip back. Our arrival both times seemed to be a surprise to them. They are very disorganized. NO BREAKFAST, we asked for towels we never got. Cold rooms! Pay more, stay elsewhere!!

Was not clean at all but the guy that works there was very nice and friendly and helped us find places to go. There is three room and only one bathroom in the whole place and it gets dirty really fast.

Location is nice, as it is close to train/bus and relatively easy to get to (once you know where it is!). But the convenience of location is overshadowed by the terrible service and accomodations you'll receive. Worth going elsewhere for a bit more cash. I have been STUNNED by the many positive reviews this place has gotten... You're invested in a vacation to Venice, don't jeopardize your trip to save a few euros by staying here.

Great cute, very clean little apartment, owner is lovely, young and friendly. However he recommends a restaurant around the corner for a meal that costs 15euro all inclusive. Was not very nice. Quality comprised for quantity. Very touristic. Only flaw of hostel was that there were no maps for us to use and take out, and the owner doesnt give you much information on the city. He did recommend a great pub 'Remer' though where there was live music and where you can try the local 'spritz', was great

Great staff, quite a cold place. Only one bathroom for many rooms. Hot water to drink and facilities are limited. Place can be hard to find. No internet. Still a fine option
