This hostel lacks a common meeting place where travellers at the hostel could meet. When you are travelling alone, this type of area is very convenient to meet other people. The staff was very professionnal.

There was no kitchen so you had to eat out, and since Venice is very expensive, you would want that the hostel offered that facility. The atmosphere was really good, but the staff was a bit cold and not very helpful, they just give you a map and some basic info but it seemed as though is was automatic, they didn't help with anything more. Much more expensive for the money you're paying.

Good location, really close to the train station (Santa Croce 555). The room was nice (twin private), but not in the same building of the check-in office, which is not a problem. Clean and quiet. The staff were nice and able to help me with general information about the city. If you're looking for parties to have fun, or a kitchen to prepare your own meal, this is not a place to go. Otherwise, it's a nice place to stay and enjoy the city.

It's a very good hostel for those who would like to stay in the city center for normal price. They have two places: one near the trane station on the other side the canal and the second locates near Ca D' Oro. I was stayed in the second one (clean, with lockers). The personal was very helpful, gave me the city map an

Staff winked at me when having conversation during check in and throughout stay. Maybe this is a cultural thing and europeans do this, but it was off putting.

Great location!!! Clean rooms, very good bathroom and lockers (I have stayed at Santa Croce 555). The problems is that there is no wifi or computers, but I would stay there again!

It was great to see the "down to small detail" attention paid in running of the hostel. Staff were very friendly. One of the best hostel i stayed in europe.

No wi-fi, though there's a room where you can plug an ethernet cable into your own netbook/laptop for internet access. Other than that, the place was clean and nice enough. Though the "big red door" wasn't all that big and wasn't entirely prominent.

Stayed in a private 2 person room for 3 nights. Very close to everything, private, own bathroom which was cleaned every day. Our room had a mini fridge and kettle. It was a comfortable stay. Although check in was in a different location, the lady walked 1 minute with us to our rooms.

positives : very good location, excellent for families, peaceful n quiet negatives : provide computers or at least provide wi-fi, hostel unlabelled

This is a clean place with a good location. The main office is near the train station. You check in there and then they assign you to one of their six properties. Seems like they have floors in various buildings. My property had no common room and their setup is not conducive to meeting people, but the staff was good and the room great. No internet.

Loved the location - very easy to find. The washroom was clean, there were individual lockers in the room, and there were no bed bugs. It's possible to hear the water buses beeping when they turn around, but otherwise it's very quiet at night. I would have preferred a hostel with a common room so I could meet people, wifi so I could double check the bus times, and breakfast because nothing is open early, but the hostel was still a really nice place to stay.
