it is good if you need to be close to train station santa lucia or bus station at piazzale roma .... but otherwise it is on complete opposite of island to all main attractions: bedrooms not bad. no kitchen or main room: about 1h WALK to san marcos square and that is IF you dont get lost; otherwise the boat costs 7 euros one way

No wifi, no elevator, staff is unfriendly, and completely out of the way from main attractions Only thing decent is that it is clean and located right next to the bus stop when you want to leave the city.

Good hostel, organized, clean, good stuff. They could have more bathrooms but actually I didn´t have any problem to use it. Good kitchen and breakfast. Clean bed, single beds. Big rooms. Very good location. I recommend.

The hostel was very clean and tidy and in a lovely location over looking the grand canal. The staff were very profesional and informative. The only slight negatives where no wifi available and a lot of stairs to climb to the dorm. The fellow guests were very nice, friendly and well mannered. It was very peacefull around midnight so conducive for a good nights sleep.

This was a great hostel, because you get exactly what you pay for. There is no common room, but I was lucky enough to meet people in my 6 person room. It was very clean. They provide sheets and towels, and the towels were good, not those thin ones many hostels sell you. There were also lockers in the room, so security was good. The beds were comfortable. It is a great location, right across from the train station and you can easily wander all over Venice. I would definitely stay here again.

Given that we're talking about Venice, this is about one of the cheapest hostels you'll find. One annoying thing is that the rooms are really far away from the reception (reception was quite hard to find; it's in a little corner before the bridge). Not many facilities to talk about, but a decently comfortable stay. Very clean, beds are great, bathroom is good.

Central location and good service overall. Room heating was a bit variable, some days being off and others on. One morning there was no hot water. WiFi service, which I believe is planned, would be a plus. No major complaints though.

The hostel is good, but is too expensive. There was no breakfest and no wi-fi.

It is really nice hostel in the old house in 1 minute from the Central Station. But in my first time in Venice I was lost in the first minute and made a lot of mistakes trying to find it... They have no streets and the numbers of houses are not in logikal order)) Cross the bridge and go right - near the shoe's shop you'll see the door)) In the hostel rooms have names of Italian artists (I stayed at "Veronese") - Canaletto etc. It's fun)) But they have no Wi-Fi!!! It's a pity(

No breakfast and no wifi are the two biggest complaints here. But by far it´s a lovely place for a short and unexpensive stay in Venice, such an expensive city.

WARNING : Many of the rooms are not at 555, Santa Croce, but here or there in Venice (ours was not very far). It is more or less indicated in the description, but not very clearly. 2nd warning : you will have to add to the price a tax to stay in Venice : 3€ per day per person. Nothing to say about the room : clean, quiet, and we've not seen anybody else during the all stay. Not very good if you want to meet people, but if you are just searching a place to stay, it's fine.

Hostel location is convenient as it's less than a 5 min walk from the train station (although that does put you about a 20 min walk from the main attractions). The staff were very accommodating and the room was spacious. All in all, good value for the money.

great location across from the main train station, but not ideal if you are looking to meet people and go out at night.

Excellent location and excellent beds. The best sleep I've had in weeks because the beds are unbunked, the city is quiet, and the hostel is relaxing. Expect to experience a beautiful time.

The location is really great, just few steps from the station and at around 15 minutes by walk to the Rialto Bridge and Piazza S. Marco. Staff was very helpful and room was clean, spacious and with an amazing view of Canal Grande. The only bad sides are the lack of a common room to meet new people and no wi fi or internet workstations, you need to bring your laptop and connect to the cable. Price is high for an hostel, but is still good and affordable compared to other accomodations in Venice

Rooms were not located by the check in but they were clean and secure. Location is close to the train station. No wifi makes it a bit of a pain though

Good location near the grand canal. A little bit expensive but considering the city its ok. A wifi is missing that would help travellers!
