Retox Party Hostel Reviews

My friends and I had a brilliant time at Retox, it's such a brilliant party hostel! Impossible not to have an amazing time there. They organise events for every night of the week at really cheap prices which are so much fun, and taking part is a great way to meet people from around the world. The only thing I would say is that they need to get some padlocks for the lockers....most people would prefer that only they had access to their important stuff. Having towels to rent would be great too!!

Not really my style. The hostel was ok for a one night stay, but I found it was more of a party bachelor kind of hostel. I was definitely a minority as a girl, and I was in a room with four guys, who were up until five in the morning. I was expecting a party hostel, but this one just wasn't for me. I heard some horror stories about the people who had been in the room before me. I prefer the party hostel I switched to the next night (Carpe Noctem), same parties, but a better sleeping environment.

I had a great stay at Retox. The hostel has a good location and lots of activities (parties) for those who are interested. Staff is really friendly and helps with tips about the city. Great place!

Compared with other hostels I've stayed in, RETOX had the nicest, cleanest rooms by far. I shared a double room with a friend which was perfect for us. Only problem was ventilation in the bathroom was non existent, so every time we had a shower the bathroom would be completely soaked in condensation. The drinks at the bar were impressively cheap and we all had great fun on the strippers pole and fuzeball table. Despite a group of 50 taking over the hostel we had few problems with staff.

It is for sure a party hostel so read their info and you'll know if its for you. I booked a double room so had the best of both worlds, enjoyed all the madness the hostel has to offer but could get some sleep:) the staff are amazing, not cliquey at all, I was travelling on my own and they were great,was never stuck for someone to talk too. do go and let your hair down, and try the magic baths,its a life changing experience...thank you retox.xxx

Retox was an awesome Hostel to stay at. The pub crawl was awesome and the staff knew a ton about the city which made things so much easier for us first time visitors to Hungary. I would definitely recommend the Hostel to anyone wanting to party it up in Budapest.

Good place to stay while in Budapest. Perfect location for night life as it sits on the edge of the bar and club district. The hostel itself has an onsite bar that shuts down at 2-3am, so bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. Amazing city though for wandering with a couple cans of beer.

The staff are the most friendly people in the world! It is a blast and they absolutely make sure that you have one!

One of the more weird hostels I've stayed at in terms of decor, but it was definitely worth the 3 nights. The staff are awesome right off the bat. Having events organized for you at night comes clutch and the staff let you know about cool things to do in the city. Don't come to this hostel is you're not willing to socialize a little, just a heads up. You'll enjoy this hostel if you're a drinker.

Let travelers do what they want. It's advertised as a crazy part hostel, and it seemed like anyone who didn't want to party every night was judged. Not by all the staff. The one Australian female staff member was a joy

Retox has probably been the best hostel I've ever stayed at. It's in a great location in the center of town, the staff is awesome (especially Aussie Dave and his pickup lines), and the parties go hard every single night. Very highly recommended.

Mental weekend! Best staff, best atmosphere, shout out to Aussie dave, willy and Jesus, you guys make the place what it is 100% will be back!

This is probably the best hostel I have ever stayed at. The staff were out of this world, and always up for a good time. Styles, Jesus, and Dave we miss you already!! I am for sure coming back in the summer months. Make sure you do the Booze Cruise along the Danube, its a night not to be missed! Retox Budapest withdrawal...

Do you suspect that you are a party animal? Are you down to get down? Does costumed karaoke or partying on a boat sound like fun? Do you think you can keep up with the most friendly and outrageous group of maniacs on the hostel circuit? If so you should not hesitate to book a bunk at Retox for at least 3 nights. Don't worry about which three, every night is a big one. You'll end up staying longer so don't plan anything after that you can't afford to cancel. Enjoy!

God awful, by far the worst hostel ive ever stayed in. Bet i inhaled more paint thinner than a 1960s hippie while i slept in a newly painted room. But hey, if your a 15 year old on a binge its probably as good as anything else. Stay away.
