HI my dear friends:
A new beginning starts for Arequipay Backpackers House, after 4 years since I opened we know it is time for a change to be better for you!! A new member, my future husband Renzo will be part of our family. We are preparing to move into a new house in perfect conditions and more capacity starting April 1st, 2010. We are fully confident that this hostel will exceed your expectations. (We are not anymore located in CRUZ VERDE 309)
While we work in this ambitious project we inform you that between December and March we will have an apartment (Address Av. Arequipa 711 Alto Selva Alegre) fully equipment with a double bed (ensuite) and a twin room (In this aparment there is capacity for only 5 people). Fully equipment kitchen, TV room with audio and DVD, Free Internet (wifi), a beautiful terrace with a hammock, patio furniture from where you will have amazing views of Chachany and Misti. The 2 bedrooms come with TV and cable. This apartment is ideal for travelers seeking peace of mind, privacy and independence (each guest will have their own keys for the apartment). The fee includes Breakfast, internet, access to the kitchen. The apartment is located 5 minutes away from the historical center by taxi (s/. 3.00) and in a 20 minutes walking distance. For this short time my parents will be your hostess and you will be treated as a family.
Since we will not have a traditional 24-hour front desk in this aparment, you must notify us your arrival time or any change to wait for you in the apartment.
The new Arequipay Backpackers House that will start 1st april will have:
GAME ROOM: Pool table, hockey table, plays station 3, Poker Table and different board games. We will have tournaments for your entertainment.
TERRACE: Outdoor 30" inches charcoal grill, foosball table, and hammocks, 2 patio sets with umbrella, a gas patio heater and fire pits with an excellent light illumination. We will have barbecue nights and friend reunions.
KITCHEN: Two cook tops for you convenience, two refrigerators (one side by side), two microwaves, music system, television, and all the cookware goods that you will need. We are sure you will enjoy your cooking in this beautiful kitchen.
MOVIE ROOM: A 55" LCD HD Television with a Home Theater System, DVD, and an extensive movie collection plus three computers with flat-panel LCD monitors with free internet and wi-fi.
DORMS AND PRIVATE ROOMS: The dorms will have lockers and the private rooms will have safe boxes. All beds will have comfortable mattresses and enough blankets for the cold nights. With an additional fee we can provide you with a portable heater for the private rooms.
We are creating indoor and outdoor spaces for your convenience, throw our unique decoration we will transmit harmony, peace of mind, relaxation and comfort, this will be the hostel that you will recognize as your home! Arequipay Backpackers will have all the necessities that a backpacker needs. This will be the best place to meet and socialize both with fellow backpackers and staff!

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you take a taxi to come to this aparment and the taxi driver tells you that 'This aparment is located in a dangerous zone' or 'It is closed' or 'It is full' DONT BELIEVE THEM because they lie due to they want to take you to other hostel who pays them comission...
CANCELLATION AND NO-SHOW POLICY: Cancellations or changes are accepted only with mimimum 24 hours before the arrival date via phone or email. Same day cancellations, same day changes or NO-SHOW will result in 1 night charge per person regardless the reason from your Credit Card. We are not responsible for weather conditions, illness, flight delays or flight cancellations. If you do not arrive within 3 hrs of your scheduled arrival time, we reserve the right to cancel your booking.
The 10% deposit you pay on this website is per night accommodation. If you cancel any of the nights, the deposit for that night will be lost.
During this time (December to April) we will not accept Minihostels Card and ISIC card.
