Want to experience Iceland's majestic city, coastline, and countryside in one visit? Dalur HI Eco Hostel is perfectly located and our team will welcome you there! There's plenty to entertain you at the hostel, too – our cafe, lounge areas, patio and garden make ideal spots to get acquainted with some friendly new faces. Enjoy free parking and easy access to the city center by bus (www.straeto.is) or scooter (www.hopp.is)

Location
We're located in the heart of Laugardalur Park, next door to the national sports stadiums and Laugardalslaug, Iceland's biggest thermal pool and spa. It's a 30-minute walk to the city center along the scenic Reykjavik coastline, or 10 minutes by bike or bus. From Keflavík Airport, FlyBus run to a schedule connecting with every flight and will drop you off at the hostel upon request.

Rooms and Dorms
Our mixed or female-only dorms and private double rooms are clean, cozy, and stylishly decorated with touches of authentic Nordic décor. Linen is included in your stay, and all of our comfy dorm beds have their own personal reading lights and plugs. Some rooms have shared bathrooms, while others are private – but all of our showers are lovely and hot.
Please note that children under 12 are not allowed to stay in shared dorms. Children over 12 years old can stay in shared dorms when travelling with a guardian.

Start your morning with our breakfast or stock up at the local minimarket and get inventive in our guest kitchen.

Pro: free parking, shower water pressure is amazing Con: in 6 bed dorm the sets of bunks are connected, so when your roomie moves, it feels like an earthquake (aka poor sleep), I found a used band-aid in my bunks storage area (I wish I was lying) breakfast is ~17USD which is wild for a hostel, and despite being labeled a cafe, they don't use the espresso machine-just drip coffee. Staff wasn’t overly welcoming, tiny locker in room, unprotected storage under bed

We must have gotten unlucky because there was a huge group of 11-13yr old boys staying there for maybe a summer camp - took up the entire common area, running around yelling and slamming doors at all hours. Bed was dirty and the reception girl was irritated about switching it then left the dirty linen on the room floor. Probably would not go back.
