Great Hostel! I stayed here for one night before heading to Akureyri. The Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was nice and warm and the Breakfast was good also! They let me make a sandwich for the road trip and organised a taxi for me :)

I enjoyed my stay at the Hostel it was clean very secure and the staff were very helpful the thermal baths next to the hostel were also good fun. The only issues i found was the hostel was very quiet with people mostly sitting around on a laptop or reading books which meant it wasnt the most social hostel.

Excellent hostel, very clean with plenty of facilities. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hostel is clean, and for me well located, quiet and nice place with a free parking lot for the car. Highly recommend to my friends, and will return some day.

Everything in this hostel was awesome, except the location. The staffs were very helpful, and the amenities were very clean and well-organised. It would be difficult to find a room with a private bathroom at this price. Perhaps, its location could be challenging to those who is not willing to walk/spend money on a bu during the stay. More than 30 mins from downtown. Also, as mentioned, breakfast is not included. But anyhow, I will definitely go there again if chances are given.

This is a really lovely hostel and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We felt really at home there and could have stayed for ages. Our room was really cosy and I miss it already.

They could have made the weather warmer... Otherwise a good hostel!

Clean and good quality rooms, staff were very helpful and friendly but like most HI hostels it had a commerical feel rather than a fun/community atmosphere. Also there were a number of large school groups which took over the common areas.

Nice staff. I liked how it was close by to the large public pools and a short bus ride away to downtown. The bunk beds were lame, but slightly comfortable. A bit cramped. I was pleased, but would have stayed downtown if there was availability. I would go back because of the close proximity to the pools.

One of the best, most clean and coziest hostels i've ever been. Like the whole Iceland, everything works well, people are kind, there are plenty options of fun. The only not so good remark is the fact that they are not located in the center, just outside it. This wouldn't be a problem in anywhere else in world, but walking under the icelandic cold wind is really bad, since the buses are not quite often Reykjavik. But still so is a very good choice.

Hostel is a 30 min walk from the city centre, so that's quite far. The largest swimming pool of Reykjavik is just next to the hostel, which is a plus. The surroundings are very nice. Staff is very friendly (+++) but sometimes very slow. Especially during breakfast time, you always have to ask: "Excuse me, do have some more tea/coffee/toast/milk/butter/knifes/plates...?" For the reception, you sometimes also have to wait quite long until someones comes out of the office.

Decent place. A bit far off though.

A bit far out of town, it would be easier if the bus service was more regular ( taxis are expensive ), but it is very clean, comfortable and the staff at the desk were very helpful.
