Extremely friendly and helpful staff. I had quite a complicated schedule checking in and out several times and they were always ready to accommodate me. Bearing in mind that Iceland has some of the most overpriced accommodation in the world having a bed for the night is a priority. (Unless you have a tent, and I didn't on this trip).

Front door was not in direct sight of the check in/services counter. The location was good in that it was on a bus route but not close to the attractions of downtown Reykjavik. The other aspects of the hostel were all good or excellent though this was only my first visit to a hostel.

Staff don't really explain how things work at the hostel and seemed annoyed to answer any questions regarding the hostel, the neighbourhood, and airport transfers.

Location quite remote as for Reykjavik, best facilities, dorms & staff in town. Very good value for your money.
