Location was excellent. Booking with Hostelworld.com was easy however, the email a few days before we got to the hostel told us how much we had to pay. On arrival to the hostel we were told there was an added payment due for each night as we weren't members. It was cheaper to join than to pay the extra money. This was the first thing we knew about being charged more. Not good when traveling on a budget.

Very clean, super friendly staff, always someone available. The free food in the guest kitchen is a real money saver. The rooms are big, beds are comfortable, shower is good, all very secure and clean. The negative side - location is good but not perfect, not a real atmosphere of a travelers community, due to the communal area being rather uninviting for people to sit together. No character whatsoever, but that didn't matter much to me. All in all a good place, a bit expensive, probably not the

Great place to stay - comfortable beds, free WiFi, close to most attractions and lots of restaurants, pubs and bars close by. Staff can book tours for you. Breakfast is good and good value. There's also a guest kitchen for use

The Wifi is really good in the lobby and in the ground floor bedrooms. Staff is excellent. The toilets could be a bit better concerning cleanliness. Overall we had a very nice stay. Would deffo come back!

The hostel was in a great location. Everything in Reykjavic was within walking distance. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The wireless Internet was awesome to have and could be used throughout the hostel. The rooms were very clean and beds were comfy.

Very clean bathroom and bedroom facilities, and quite close to the centre of town. Just be aware of all the extra charges - yes, we should have read about these on the Hostelworld site, but when there is an extra 'membership' fee, a breakfast fee and a linen rental fee (which is included for all other hostels I have stayed at), it quickly adds up.

Its a great, quaint hostel, very well located for everything in Reykjavik. The staff are extremely friendly and have very good suggestions.

Very good hostel, located very close to the center but far enough away that you don't suffer from the noise of the bars. Some good restaurants and one minute away. My only complaint is that they charge extra for linens, including just sheets and bedclothes. They advertise this on the site, so it's not as if it is shady, but charging for sheets seems ridiculous to me. That's something you expect when you decide not to camp.

Very helpfull staff. I appreciate female dorms as I travel alone. Nice, well equiped kitchen located outside - it doesn't disturb guests when you'd like to stay there little bit longer :)

This hostel is clean and the kitchen area is well organized. It is 3 min walking from downtown, so it is probably quieter than the other Reykjavik hostels. For me, the only downside of this place is was for the "meeting people" part: there aren't any "planned activities" in the hostel so you have to hang out in the kitchen to talk with other travelers. The staff is generally helpful too, some more than others. They have lockers in the room for everybody, and the rooms are quite big.

The female dorm was huge and cozy, the kitchen was well equipped and clean and the staff was always super friendly and helpful. We stayed there for six nights with my friend and it really felt like home. Excellent basis to discover Reykjavík! Hopefully see you soon!

minor detail: waiting for the bus at 5 o'clock in the morning is no fun. Why couldn't I buy a cup of coffee in the lounge? Staff was present....

This is one of the best hostels I've stayed in, it really helped to make my trip! As a single female traveller, I felt safe and comfortable; great staff, room (10 bed dorm) was spacious and clean, met some lovely people, had a fantastic time here! Highly recommended!!

fantastic. one of the cleanest hostels ive been to. it is a bit quiet until you say hello and have some fun. This hostel is like a hotel with roommates. only bummer is the separation of the checkin and kitchen areas. But the kitchen area is nice too!
