The staff were so friendly and Martina in particular made my whole trip and ensured all guests had a great New Years Eve. Everything was easy; if you wanted a tour the you asked at the reception desk and they'd book it with the tour company who would pick you up directly outside of the hostel. They gave advice on forecasts, bank holidays, what to do on New Years Eve. The kitchen was great and the atnmosphere of the place was brilliant.

It is a super nice hostel with great helpful staff. I actually ended up staying for 5 more nights. There are some nights having live music band concert. That was really exciting icelandic music and so unforgettable. I´ll definitely come back if i ever visit Reykjavik again!

It was such a great staff, more than anything else. Very willing to help and inform. Plus, the environment was extremely friendly, with people greeting others as they came and went from the hostel lobby.

Reykjavik downtown is by far the best hostel i've ever stayed in. The staff were beautifully friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was so relaxed, welcoming and calm that i felt so sad to leave. Its more like a basic stripped down hotel than a hostel in terms of cleanliness and presentation, yet it still has the laid back open feeling of a hostel. Brilliant place. Can't wait to go back!

The location is great and convent to get anywhere. What impresses me is that the staff are so nice there and really helpful. They are active to seek any help for us!!!

This is one of the nicer hostels I have stayed at ever! It is in a great location...close to everything...very clean/large rooms--comfy beds! clean bathrooms! ....staff could have been a little friendlier...other than that I would definitely stay there again!

Very good hostel. We stayed in a private room and the hostel was quiet, clean and in a great location. Staff were friendly and very helpful, whether it was helping us plan a night out or advising us on galleries and museums to visit. If I come back to Reykjavik I will definitely stay here again.

This place is definately more like a hotel. Highly recommended and great value for money. There are shuttle buses that pick you up from the hostel and drop you off within walking distance to the hostel to and from all the main sites of Iceland. Great security - needed to swipe 3 times before getting into your room. Good kitchen facilities The rooms were huge, the bathroom the best I've seen in a hostel Wpi;d jogj;y reccommend this hostel.

very good hostel overall. i had to choose a very big room which was quite bad for me as too many people with different habits (some arriving very late at night, some leaving very early) have to share the room. the rest was perfect, clean, nice personnel, secure as the lockers can be locked with a padlock. location is good and quiet. but not fur from the buzz
