The location is deep in the medina on a very narrow alley and very difficult to find if you come in at night. There is no heat, which makes both the common area and area for breakfast very, very cold. Staff was helpful when around. We stayed a previous night in a Riad about 7 minutes outside the medina that was less expensive and had a much nicer dining area. The bed was large and comfortable. Owing to the filth of the alley ways and motor scooter exhaust, I would not recommend a medina Riad.
Helpful staff, charming riad. If you don´t mind finding your way through the labyrinths of the kasbah/medina, where being a tourist may sometimes attract the wrong kind of attention, you may thoroughly enjoy your stay here!
I just want to thank Youssef, the housekeeper, for the great treat he gave us during our stay in Riad Al Faras.
is very difficult to find this hostel, but its not far from Jamma squire. Air conditioner works very poor, it was cold in the room in january, there was no hot water anytime- just a little warm water.
Nice and clean place, a bit difficult to find 'cause the map on hostelworld didn't show the right location. This hostel is less than 5 mins walk from Djemaa El-Fna, the main square. The breakfast was excellent.
The riad had a great location less than 5 min walk to jeema fna, it was clean, the bathroom and room were quite big. The place was an authentic riad, with plants and open roof. We were picked up at the indicated place by the manager he showed us as well how to get to the square.
What a beautiful place, perfect for couples and small groups. ideal for somewhere to relax and chill-out away from the madness of marrakech, outstanding decor and a lovely family who run it. cannot fault it : )
Pleasant, if very quiet. Had to give a kid a couple of Dirham to find the place!
Clean, simple, traditional Riad a short walk from the center of Marrakech. Breakfast was tasty every morning (traditional breads, fruit, and coffee) and enjoyed the peaceful escape the Riad provided. The mosque nearby took some getting used to at 5AM, but you cannot escape the Call to Prayer in any lodging if you choose to stay in the heart of Marrakech. I would stay at Riad al Faras again for sure. For travelers to Morocco, be sure to confirm in person all details of any day trips/treks.
Good value for money, tradional riad right in the heart of Marrakech. Lovely roof terrace to enjoy the sun and sounds of the city! Would def. recommend.
this is a lovey riad if a little difficult to find at first...
Amazing Riad. Owner was very welcoming, location is great in the old medina and a 1 min walk from the Square. NOTE: It is difficult to find on your own but a 50 Dm taxi and 5 Dm tip to a local will get you there in no time. We loved this place! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The directions listed aren't that helful so contact the hotel prior to make sure you know where you are going. It was a great place and the pool really made it that much better.
We really loved every moment of our time at Riad al Faras, it was so beautiful and clean! The staff were friendly and helpful. The small pool was a great relief in the hot afternoons and the roof terrace was magical in the evenings. Word of warning- it is very hard to find the 1st time! Tucked away down a small alley. and the local mosque has a very loud and tone deaf call to prayer at 4am which went on for up to an hour!!! so bring ear plugs :)
This is the most amazing place I have ever stayed in. Loverly rooms. Airconditioned. HONEST staff (very rare in Marrakech). Location is amazingly close to main square. Great breakfast. Very nice beds. Lovely sunbathing area. Only trouble will be finding the place - cannot get there by car but after finding it once, easy to do it again. Will definitely be back. So will anyone else who stays here.
By far, THE BEST, place I've stayed so far and I've been traveling abroad since January. The staff is unbelievably friendly and helpful. We took the cooking class at the Riad and it was the best meal we had in Morocco. The staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect, and it was! I wouldn't stay anywhere else!! Thanks Youssef!
Ground floor double room is small, cramped, dark and exceptionally noisy - motorbikes, mosque and pedestrians on other side of wall. Minimum furniture. Room door can be easily pulled open. Nearby main street is being dug up with riad warning of water shortages in room - although we had no problem. No other guests so we asked to move rooms. Unhelpful house manager rejected our request. Stayed in more helpful places in Morocco. Wouldn't recommend.
Great accomodations. Finding it for the first is abit difficult but once there you realize how awesome th e location is. Breakfast is fantastic as well
This place is a little oasis. The staff are very warm and friendly and the rates are more than reasonable. It\'s not the sort of place if you want to party though. Not a critisim just an observation. Also be prepared to pay someone to help u find it you will save a lot of time.
The hostel was very clean. It's near from djemaa el fna, but it's a little bit difficult to find the first time, like everything in Marrakech. The breakfast is really nice and it's a good place to relax after a day in that crazy city!!
