Well if something doesn´t work, well too bad, you get no compensation. Surprise after surprise. Pay for your own drinkikng water, malfunctioning air conditioning even though it´s advertised. Ali is cool. Mustapha tends to be dishonest and not reveal the truth up front.

Really nice staff, wasn't really busy so they just put us in whichever room rather than dorms. Nice roof terrace, really really welcome calm after the madness of Marrkesh!

Lovely hostel and amazing staff. Feels a little bit out of the way, but is easy to find your way once you know where you are going. The main host of the hostel showed us out to the main square on our first night, which was very helpful and kind. 15 minute walk from main square. Quiet and peaceful and lots of character in the riad. We were always welcomed home with a cup of mint tea - the staff were incredible. Would recommend, provided you dont mind the extra walk.

A nice spot in the Marrakech' Medina, a little remote from the Djama el' fna though. To find it with just the hostel´s text is fairly difficult unless you are an Expert in islamic town-planning. It is a nice place for what you pay, but don´t expect a real Riad (urban house with courtyard-garden and traditional interieurs etc.

We were extremely satisfied with the hostel as well with the trip that they organized. since we travel with small kids they had enough arguments to complain about us - but just opposite - they were playing with them and entertaining them. We highly recommend the hostel also to the families.

My room was located on the terrace and was bright, quiet and private. It was a comfortable room. The shower was good with warm water and lots of pressure. The towels were good quality. This is a smaller riad and because of this, it had a more homey feel. The other guests staying there were friendly and it was nice to share our experiences at the end of the day. There was always mint tea offered and the hosts were very friendly. One even played the guitar as we sat in the common area in the eveni

Great hostel. Best part is the staff who would go out of their way to make you feel at home. The only drawback is finding the hostel the first time as it is located in a small alley not very near the main square. Once you know where it is you learn to appreciate the location as well as it is quiet yet so close to the action of the Djemaa al-Fna.

we had a good stay in this hostel for just 2 nights, the staff is very nice with you and help you, unfortunateluy we didn't spend many time inside and couldn't enjoy the atmosphere with them but if i would come back i will go here is very quiet inside it doesn't seems to be in marrakech!the only problem is that is a 15 walking to the mainly square but it's ok during the night.

This hostel had a lot of character! It was hidden within the narrow lanes of the medina. The staff was great and was very hospitable treating us to Moroccan tea and shisha, offering up instruments to play in the courtyard, and giving good advice on the area. We also went on an excursion into the Atlas Moutnains which was really good, however, ask to lower the price and select your own lunch as the restaurant wasn't great and was very touristy/overpriced.

Out of all the hostels I've stayed in within Morocco, this was definitely the best one. Everyone at the riad, whether they be fellow travelers or the staff, felt like family. We all ate breakfast in the same dining room, we cooked in the same kitchen together, it was a very communal experience. Mustafa was great at cultivating this atmosphere along with Baheeja, Amar, Farid, and Hisham. I remember thinking to myself when they made the whole riad tajine to enjou together, "Wow, this is home."

We stayed at Riad Amlal for a short weekend trip, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure that we got everything out of our short stay! From the friendly driver who picked us up at the airport, to sharing shisha our first night, to having us over to their house for tea, the staff made us feel more like friends than clients. The hostel was clean, safe, and a lot of fun. Great value, and the best way to really see Marrakesh. If at all possible, take a tour with Mustapha!

The only thing we did not like was the fact that we were moved from one room to another and in the end neither of us slept in the room we have originally booked, besides that everything was ok :) Especially the staff, everyone (Farid, Hassim, Amar) were super nice and helpful.

This was my favorite Riad (out of 3) we stayed at in Morocco. The staff is amazing, welcoming and fun with loads of information. They ensured we were comfortable going around the maze of the city, and would come and get us if we ever were lost. It was a great location because you saw more than the regular tourist section, walking to and from the square. It was relaxing and peaceful, but would liven up if everyone was up for it! I WILL go back!

Out of the twelve or so hostels I've been in throughout the world, this hostel has offered me the most homey and welcoming atmosphere. In here I got a to experience a genuine introduction to Moroccan customs by kind and helpful staff members. They also offer different packages to visit the Atlas Mountains and the Sahara Desert at pretty decent prices. Thumbs up!
