I stayed in room #1 a cute little private room with a really comfortable bed. Noise travels easily throughout the hostel and from outside but over all my experience was excellent! The hostel breakfasts are delicious, the hostel is always very clean and the rooftop is a great place to relax :)
This is an incredible hostel. It's probably the best I've stayed at. It was only for one night. The view is the best thing in the world. It's really easy to meet people here. They were very accomodating even with the fact that I was sick from some food I ate and threw up in the middle of the bathroom and on the sheets. They were quick to clean up and very nice about it. Monsif (one of the staff) was so nice and helpful. All of them were. The only complaint which is minimal is the bunk stairs.
Everything perfect but a litlle noisy at night. Many people and rooms near the stairs.
Great vibe, great people, good value! Just a few minutes away from the plaza and close to many little stores if anything. Thank you so much for your hospitality, merci beaucoup, shoukran! :-)
Awesome hostel with the best terrace in town. Booked for two nights - ended up staying for five, it's that kind of place. Best mattresses of any hostel around, even for the tall timber. Highly recommend.
Can't fault this hostel, it was clean, the rooms were comfortable and it was nicely secluded just away from the main streets. The terrace has great views across the valley and is definitely worth a walk up the 3 flights of stairs. If you are dropped off at the Medina gate it is really easy to find but if you're dropped off anywhere else it can be a bit harder (I was dropped at the Hotel Parador and wandered around in circles for 30 minutes!)
wonderful hostel, beautiful and well maintained, owner on site, great and friendly staff, terrific, healthy breakfast, rooftop terrace. a must stay in the lovely town of Chefchaouen, this is why we travel

The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the whole place was gorgeous.
Riad Baraka is gorgeous! It feels like you are staying in a large family home and it has a really “homey” atmosphere. The room & entire Riad are really clean and well kept (they were painting the day I arrived). The shared dorms aren’t huge, but there is enough space between the lounge and terrace, that it is no problem at all. The terrace is amazing and a great place to hang out with other travellers. A delicious breakfast is offered, however you must pay for it (worthwhile). My only compla
Such a great hostel! The vibe was awesome and Senna who works there was an absolute delight!
The Riad is fine, facilities were good and clean. Rooms were very hot. The big negative about this hostel is the owner or manager whom has been mentioned before. She is very rude to all the guests, she really does take away from the overall experience of the riad. I wish that I could recommend this place fully, but I will not because of her.
The owner was condescending and a bit rude. The other staff were really friendly and kind, especially the younger boy that works there. The hostel is beautifully done and the terrace is an awesome place to relax and hang out. The view from the terrace is stunning. Stayed here because of the great reviews even if it was one of the more expensive hostels in this town. Would rather give business to another hostel though in the future or the local people from air bnb!
British owner (woman) was very rude and unfriendly German owner (man) was incredibly gracious and kind Facilities were beautiful and clean Breakfast was very good Would recommend to friends

Great hostel, absolutely GORGEOUS TERRACE, you get a 360 view from the rooftops, and sunset is spectacular. You can also sleep up there. Right next to restaurants and shops, as well as the hiking trails are ten min away. The lady who owns it is mean though, very loud and unnerving. The people make up for it though, highly recommend.
Owner runs a tight ship so the place is very clean! Delicious breakfast, beautiful terrace and very comfy beds! Easy to find and inside the Medina. Would definitely stay again if I'm back in Chaouen!
Very nice hostel!!

The owner/manager was quite impolite to all guests. It really has an impact on the overall atmosphere of the place
Great location, very close to the medina's main gate (but can be confusing to find the first time). Extremely clean hostel, helpful staff, and lots of cats that stroll in and out the front door! There is a possibility for laundry, printing and showers, although you must take a shower before 11pm if you want hot water. Other than that, I was pleased with my stay at Riad Baraka!
Absolutely recommend. Tight quarters for dorm but nice to have a lock box next to bed. Excellent roof top terrace. Nice atmosphere. Very good breakfast. Only concern dorm is next to reception, next to eating area & at night people talk, gather until midnight or after. Also, though I allergic to cats. The owner has taken in street kittens which is nice of her but they keep coming into the dorm. Also you can not stay in the breakfast area or downstairs if the cats are there.
Excellent hostel. Cleanliness was exceptional by Moroccan standards and breakfast was lovely and a bargain at 25dh. Great location too, highly recommended.
