Thanks a lot for the stay! We only stayed for one night but if we ever come back we would definitely stay longer. The roof-top is really nice, and I can imagine that you must have some nice BBQ nights there during the summer months. The breakfast was superb, especially when enjoyed on the rooftop with the view over the medina and mountains. The atmosphere of the Riad is also lovely and laid back - would definitely recommend it to friends!

Jo and his mum are the absolute perfect hosts-informative ,excellent breakfasts around a friendly dining area where all the guests can chat and relax. They take great pride in running a beautiful renovated hostel -more like a private guest house where everyone is made welcome. Best value Riad in Morocco .Fabulous roof top entertainment area with chill out room. No hesitation in recommending this. George and Karen Crouch-Australia

Super beautiful terrace! One of the most stunning views to wake up to each morning! I could stare at this view for ages! Definitely recommend starting your day with ordering the breakfast and enjoying it upstairs on the roof. Great location, helpful staff, clean rooms, hot water, great wifi, beautiful decor inside and great safety (with each door having it's own padlock). Would definitely come back again and this time for longer to appreciate the beauty of Chefchaouen from the roof of this riad!

Arriving from Fez, Riad Baraka was the absolute perfect place to arrive, it was a veritable oasis in the medina of Chefchaouen. The hostel offers a terrace with magnificent views of the city as well as facilities that are as impeccably clean as they are beautiful. As for my hosts, I couldn't have asked for two better people, Joe was extremely helpful and informative. If you want to get the best out of your stay, I suggest you check out Riad Baraka!

I really liked the hostel. just like the other reviews, the staff, Mother and Son were really nice and kind. The hostel was really beautiful and clean. Also the location was perfect. The only thing I didn't like was that I had to pay extra for using the heater. It was cold the room and I had to pay 40 DH/day for using it.

The hostel is clean, but the owner and his mother are extremely impolite and rude. The room was ready only half an hour after we arrived and there were some staff guys making lots of noise right outside our room . Next morning, after a rude explanation about their breakfast, we tried unsuccessfully to find something in the street. We returned to the hostel but were refused to be served because the mother was ironing. Check out was also messy with the owners being very rude again. Not nice at all

The value is amazing! As well as the cleanliness. Joe takes care of the hostel as he would his home and additionally takes his neighbors and their culture into account. I appreciated his helpfulness.

This was a top-quality hostel at an excellent location with excellent staff. Run by mother and son, the place is very home-like and cosy. The fireplace is a delight to sit next to during cold Chefchaouen days. I had an excellent stay there and got excellent tour advice from the hostel. They even arranged for a tour with Abdul - the neighbour and a wonderful English-speaking guide. Definitely one of the best places I've stayed. Oh and it has a great terrace!

if breakfast can be included, it would be better. The breakfast is excellent. The boss's advice is very impressive. however, the room and bathroom is small.

Amazing place to spend the night in Chefchaouen. It is a typical riad with great facilities and a big terraze on the roof to have an extraordinary view of the city. Little bit difficult to find but when you are there, you will discover how easy is to get there. The lady is lovely and really helpful. Ask her everything you need.

Clean and rather good location. You have to wait for a hot water 70 seconds so you either wash hands in cold water or waste a lot of it. No kitchen! Not even a kettle, you have to ask the hosts for a hot water which is kinda awkward. Smokers beware! Owner is a little paranoid about smoking, we respected the rules of not smoking inside and went to a roof where it is permitted. He still accused us of smoking in the room and told us to get out. Clean to stay, maybe not for backpackers though.

Almost the perfect place, really, all pros, clean, comfy, well located (great terrace)... but cons, no breakfast, and they should advice smoking is NOT allowed in the house, you can go upstairs to the terrace, but in winter it can be pretty cold. Anyhow, I would be back to this place if I'm visiting Chaouen again
