I enjoyed my stay here. Airport pick up and meeting us in Place Djeema El Fna was really appreciated. The only reason I've marked it down for cleanliness was that our room had an unpleasant damp smell which was noticeable in some other parts of the Riad too. When we got to our next destination it had got into my clothes, which was not so nice. The room was also very dark and a bit stuffy. Overall we were happy though.

Riad Basma was a great introduction to Morocco - the room was full of character, the owner , Hasna, was very helpful and welcoming and able to speak many languages. The location was quiet yet just a 5 min walk to the main square. I would definitely recommend this accommodation.

To stay at this Riad was like a time travel into Shererazades Arabian Nights. Only we had just 3 nights instead of 1001. The staff was so lovely and they helped us out whenever we needes some assistance. We stayed there at the beginning and the end of our Marocco trip. The second room we got was even more beautiful! The location is extremely close to the big Square Jemaa al fna but still it's very quiet. The only negative thing was the smell from the drainage in the second room.

This Riad is a very beautifull place to stay in Marrakech! It has the arabian tipical style, with all facilities. The rooms are really good decorated, and hte terrace is very very nice. The staff is very polite, they offer you all you might need. The riad is located inside the medine, so you are close to the most popular areas; and you will live the autentic marrakech life! I recommend this riad!

I did not even get to stay in Riad Basma! The Riad told me that they had to move me to another Riad (Medina Mayurca - which is in an impossible-to-find area of Marrakech) due to them being overbooked on the one night we were supposed to stay in it. Two other tourists I met in Medina Mayurca were in the same boat as us. I do not know if this is something other than a fault with the online booking system, but really this should not be happening at all.

Riad Basma was the perfect antidote to the hectic souks of Marakech. We were made very welcome and would definitely recommend to anyone that they stay here! It's not the easiest place to find, but well worth the effort.

Amazing hostel with great staff. We loved it so much that we went back on our return stop in Marrakesh. Even though we arrived super late, the staff was still awake to open the door. Rooms are nice and clean. Not much direct sunlight, but that's par for riads since they are just around an open courtyard. All the drains in the city give off a weird smell, so there was a plastic bag in the shower to keep it away. Hair dryer provided in the room, clean towels. Very helpful staff. Great location!

Fantastic Riad, in an excellent location. We were made very welcome and found the rooftop balcony to be particularly enjoyable. The best part was Hassna who works there, who made us very welcome and helped us maximise our time in Morocco-outstanding and thanks again Hassna. Omar & Mel, London

We stayed at Riad Basma 4 days and we loved it!!!!!!! The location is perfect - in the city centre, very close to Dżemaa el-Fna square but at the same time quiet (hidden in one of the small streets). The riad itself is beautiful and very very clean. It was literally shining!!!! (our room was cleand every single day). We enjoyed breakfast on the terrace. The staff was really helpful and extremly nice. I totally recommend it. Thank you very much and hope to visit Riad Basma agin:)

This was the greatest place to stay. Hasna and Mohammad were wonderful people, attentive to detail and helpful. They were always concerned that our stay would be enjoyable. Room was clean and located in a good area. Thanks.
