Despite only staying one night in this riad, and as far as we were aware we were the only people staying at the time, this riad is great! Great positioning and beautifully decorated. In a safe area and staff were very friendly. Only probably would be that the price of the air conditioning is NOT included in the price of the stay (unlike other riads) and it's €10 for air con per night! When you're there in summer it's essential, that would be the only downfall. Apart from that we would recommend!

Our stay in Riad Basma was outstanding. The staff were extremely welcoming, accommodating and friendly. Our breakfast was tasty and varied every day, the rooftop terrace was the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh, and our bed and towels were made and changed every day. We would recommend this Riad for anyone planning on visiting Marrakesh and really experiencing the city for what it is. It's location is excellent and close to Jemaa El Fna, the heart of the city.

Fantastic location - super close to the main square and VERY easy to find your way back, no issues with getting lost unlike some other Riads! We had a private double with ensuite - the room was a little dark but apart from that very clean and comfortable. The riad itself was small but charming and staff were very helpful.

Really fantastic staff, who could not have helped us out more. Excellent location, just off a main street and near the square but still a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.

Riad Basma is located just a few streets behind the (main) big square Jemaa El Fna. It's pretty much impossible to find though because there isn't a sign outside, so let them pick you up. The Riad is beatiful and quiet and lovingly furnished and decorated. The staff is very helpful and observant. We liked it here so much that we returned at the end of our trip for another few days.

A lovely little Riad tucked just behind the main square in Marrakech. The location is perfect - quiet at night so you can sleep well but only 3minutes or so from the central square, souqs etc. The rooms are gorgeous and authentic, and have real character and personality. Breakfast was simple but good, staff were lovely and really helpful. If you don't know Marrakech take up their offer to meet you at the airport/main square - it's quite hard to find first time.

Definitely get the pick up from the airport or train station! Very confusing to find at night

This hostel was very good with a nice orient atmosphere. But it is very difficult to find because there is no sign at the door/wall that it is THIS hostel (the first right after the mosque). Also the breakfast was very good. But in this price the TAXES are not included. We had to pay 10% of the complet price + 2€ / day each person. But also with this price it was worth. It is very near to the Djemaa el fna (about 300m) and in a very silent small alley.

This small riad is in one of the tiny streets of Medina, just around the corner from the noisy souks. So you get everything at once - a relaxing escape and a great shopping as well as restaurants, spas, etc. The interior is stunning, lovely details all over the place kept surprising us throughout the 10 days stay. All rooms are decorated with good taste. The courtyard inside the building gave the sense of space and openness. We enjoyed evenings with a glass of Moroccan wine on the roof terrace that is also beautifully decorated. There are sunbeds and shower there too for those who would like to challenge the Moroccan sun. The staff is very warm and friendly. They changed the room when we asked and allowed to use the kitchen. Thanks to Khadija, Hasna and the cleaning lady the riad felt like home.

I enjoyed my stay here. Airport pick up and meeting us in Place Djeema El Fna was really appreciated. The only reason I've marked it down for cleanliness was that our room had an unpleasant damp smell which was noticeable in some other parts of the Riad too. When we got to our next destination it had got into my clothes, which was not so nice. The room was also very dark and a bit stuffy. Overall we were happy though.

Riad Basma was a great introduction to Morocco - the room was full of character, the owner , Hasna, was very helpful and welcoming and able to speak many languages. The location was quiet yet just a 5 min walk to the main square. I would definitely recommend this accommodation.

To stay at this Riad was like a time travel into Shererazades Arabian Nights. Only we had just 3 nights instead of 1001. The staff was so lovely and they helped us out whenever we needes some assistance. We stayed there at the beginning and the end of our Marocco trip. The second room we got was even more beautiful! The location is extremely close to the big Square Jemaa al fna but still it's very quiet. The only negative thing was the smell from the drainage in the second room.

This Riad is a very beautifull place to stay in Marrakech! It has the arabian tipical style, with all facilities. The rooms are really good decorated, and hte terrace is very very nice. The staff is very polite, they offer you all you might need. The riad is located inside the medine, so you are close to the most popular areas; and you will live the autentic marrakech life! I recommend this riad!

Riad Basma was the perfect antidote to the hectic souks of Marakech. We were made very welcome and would definitely recommend to anyone that they stay here! It's not the easiest place to find, but well worth the effort.

Amazing hostel with great staff. We loved it so much that we went back on our return stop in Marrakesh. Even though we arrived super late, the staff was still awake to open the door. Rooms are nice and clean. Not much direct sunlight, but that's par for riads since they are just around an open courtyard. All the drains in the city give off a weird smell, so there was a plastic bag in the shower to keep it away. Hair dryer provided in the room, clean towels. Very helpful staff. Great location!

Large and lofty rooms, very Moroccan-style place to stop in! The manager is so lovely and energetic! :)
