Staff not expecting us, not very friendly or helpful, but quite awkward. We had to make our own bed. We paid the expected outstanding amount on arrival but the next morning were told by another maybe of staff that they had miscalculated and we needed to pay more. Not awful, but not great either. We stayed in better places for half the price!

First of all we are sorry for what has disturbed your night in our riad and apologize. The day of your stay, the manager was sick. Temporary worker was hired to replace him. It has unfortunately not been at the level of service we want to offer our customers. For billing he converted by mistake the balance due for your stay (36 euros) in local currency by multiplying by 10 instead of 11 which is the normal rate of exchange. Reason for the difference you requested when employee found the error.

Great place to stay. Very clean and nice with nice top trace where you have breakfast and relax. The location is very central, very close to the main square and close to taxis and many place where you can get good Moroccan food. Staff is friendly and helpful in organizing tours and excursions.

Our stay in Dar Tamlil was enjoyable. The staff was too friendly and their mint tea was the best one in Morocco. The rooms and atmosphere of the hostel was great and reflects Morocco with its best details. The only problem we experienced was hot water but all other points in Dar Tamlil was wonderful. Thank you.

We enjoyed our stay at Riad Tamlil. The location was nice, right in the center of all the hustle and bustle of the medina but inside it was a quiet retreat. Also, we enjoyed having our breakfast on the roof-top teraze. Our room was a little rustic, no white fluffy duvet and the shower was open to the rest of the bathroom which was fine just rustic. The staff was nice too.

A very nice riad! After a chaotic walk through the city, the perfect place to rest and feel like home. A lovely garden and a nice roof terasse. Location is great, just 2 minutes and you are at djemma el Fna.

A beautiful hostel, only a 2 minute walk from the central square, and the perfect place to stay and explore Marrakech. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and serve a lovely breakfast until 11.30 wherever you like in the hostel; in the courtyard, room or roof terrace. You can also get a great value dinner at the hostel, a 3 course meal that rivaled any restaurant we ate at. A perfect stay.

Good location to the main square. Beautifully tiled, traditional, quiet riad. A nice calmness to return too after a day of Marrakech madness. Would stay here again.

Evrything was good. Very clean. GREAT interior and a garden!!! Lovely roof terrase! Internet connection was good. Easy to find from main square. Friendly staff. The breakfast could have been better though.

Really friendly hostel. Very conveniently located although a little hard to find in the dark (when we first arrived). Staff are really frienly and the rooftop terrace is amazing! Only downside - the breakfast/sitting area is right outside the rooms and, with the floors being tiled, any conversation can drift up, particularly late at night. Really good stay and would recommend to anyone.

An incredible oasis of calm a stones throw away from the bustle of the souks. I stopped off here for one night before hiking in the Atlas mountains and returned for a day and night to relax on my way back down. The roof terrace and mint tea are a paradise and Abdul is a gracious and caring host. top marks, fully recommended

Abdul was the member of staff who was working during our stay and he was really great. He helped us with anything we needed and explained various Moroccan traditions to us in a really calming way. The room was gorgeous and the roof terrace was beautiful. We'd definitely stay here again! Also, it is actually really near the main square so easy to find once you get your bearings - no need to be guided to it by passers by who want a tip!

Riad with rooftop terrace and nice, clean rooms. The welcome was rather frosty and although we asked for it the day before, it was not possible to get breakfast before 8:30 a.m.. As we had to catch our bus, we had to leave the accomodation without breakfast.

This was the best place we stayed in our whole trip to Morocco. The breakfast is absolutely delicious and you can have it on their lovely roof terrace. The riad is really beautiful and the location is excellent and great value for money. It is just off the main square in an interesting street. The riad is very peaceful and a lovely place to relax with friendly and welcoming staff.

The room was lovely and the sun terrace added even more value for money. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good, though a little variation would be nice. Clean and an excellent location. I would definitely stay again and recommend this hostel

We had an amazing stay in this riad, our only wish is that it could have been for longer! The location was superb, only a stones throw from the main square. Breakfast was fantastic and pretty much fed us for the day there was so much of it! What made the stay better than anywhere else we stayed was the homely welcome we were given by the man... He was keen to learn about our culture and lang and to teach us about his... Including a hands on experience of making/serving mint tea correctly!!! Fab!

Good small riad very easy to find which is a plus for Marrakech. Staff was friendly. They suggested excursions but were not pushy. Only problem: we asked where the grand taxi station was and she wrote the address on a piece of paper (in arabic) and told us to give it to a cab driver. The station was easily on walking distance and this led to a complicated departure from Marrakech.

We really enjoyed our stay at Dar Tamlil. While its location is perfect in terms of distance to the main square, the surrounding streets are not as pleasant as the charming Riad itself. The room was clean and the facilities were okay as well (with your usual 'southern countries shower', which is not the cascade you're used to back home), breakfast was very nice. And, most important: The staff was extremely helpful in terms of taxis, directions, wishes, etc. We'd definitely stay there again!
