The transfers were very professional, recommended as there can be a lot of hassle at airports and train stations there, especially at night. Food was lovely and staff.. Owner did charge more than hostel world price.

The location is VERY sketchy at night. A man harassed us from the gate all the way to the hostel, pushed himself inside, then demanded we pay him. Also, due to a miscommunication with the reservation, we (a group of three) booked a six-person room assuming we'd be put in a room with three other people and were instead given the entire room and forced to pay for all of it. The staff did provide us with an escort out of the medina when we had to leave at night though, and that was nice

The hostel is nice and has an excellent position in the old Medina of Fez. However, PLEASE PLEASE do not take the FAKE, unofficial guides that the owner will invite you to hire to discover the Medina. They will just bring you to loads of shops to buy super expensive/overpriced stuff and get commissions out of it. Very dishonest behavior from the owner and the guide, worth saving this money for something else. You will not get lost in the Medina, there are signs for the main sites!!

One of the best places we have ever stayed. The breakfast was lovely, room was great - shower pressure was excellent, hot water all day and the staff were amazing. They even provide Moroccan mint tea all day on request. Abdul was fantastic too and will organise a medina tour at a local price which was the highlight of our time in Fes. 10 out of 10 for sure.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful in the heart of the old city in Fez. The staff were very helpful, although we are broke backpackers and their recommendations for food places were a little out of our price range, everything else was fantastic though. The roof top is fantastic, it has a great view over the city.

The owners, two brothers, were really friendly and helpful with everything. The old house is beautiful and the terrace amazing.

Beautiful Riad, beautiful roof top terrace. Staff went out of their way to help me - including escorting me to find food once it got dark in the medina! Highly recommend.

Amazing riad! The staff were incredible and went out of their way to help us multiple times. Our trip to Fes definitely wouldn't have been the same if we didn't stay here!

Very helpful and caring staff. Mr. Mohammed purchased some train tickets for us in advance, using his own money.

I enjoyed my stay in Riad Hala, as the members of staff were really helpful. The place was clean, the atmosphere great, , we could stay late in the night and drink marocan tea made by the staff. There was not problem with lost property as well. I got my trousers back after I left them in the Riad for few days. That really made me think I can recommend the place and their service. THANK YOU DEAR PEOPLE IN RIAD HALA!!!

Great Hotel to stay in! Mohammed and Ali are just lovely and will help you with every question you might have. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and equipped with AC/Heater, which was very helpful during the time of our stay. The bathroom is also clean and has warm water. Breakfast is very tasty! If we come back to Fez we will definitely go back to this Hotel!

We really enjoyed the tidiness and standard. The hostel is in the middle of the medina, so it is ideally located for exploring. The service was absolutely great and we got free tea at the roof balcony whenever we felt like it. We went to a new year's dinner that was greatly over-priced (400 MAD), and you can get a taxi there for less than a quarter (12 MAD) of the price that the Riad offers (70 MAD) despite the distance from the train station, but the room itself was fairly priced.

Very nice hostel (clean and spacy rooms, nice baths, TV and air con) and the most comfortable hostel in Morocco which I stayed in. The location is right in the Medina so if you are looking for a place in the old city, this is the right hostel to sleep.

AMAZING HOSTEL, even though we didnt stay in the Riad Hala they moved us to their sister hostel down the road. The room was amazing and the breakfast was great. i cannot speak highly enough of this hostel. definantly more like a hotel. fantastic staff very helpful.

We stayed in another hostel, not hala, it was from the same owner. But they were pretty much the same, the only difference was a fridge in the one we moved in. Everything was good. The breakfast was pretty nice, the localization was in the main western gate, the most important. When you arrive don´t accept help from any "friend" that want to help you. Just ask in the stores. For me the only thing that was not so positive was the pillow for sleep. It was too big. Recommended to stay!
