We really enjoyed the tidiness and standard. The hostel is in the middle of the medina, so it is ideally located for exploring. The service was absolutely great and we got free tea at the roof balcony whenever we felt like it. We went to a new year's dinner that was greatly over-priced (400 MAD), and you can get a taxi there for less than a quarter (12 MAD) of the price that the Riad offers (70 MAD) despite the distance from the train station, but the room itself was fairly priced.

Very nice hostel (clean and spacy rooms, nice baths, TV and air con) and the most comfortable hostel in Morocco which I stayed in. The location is right in the Medina so if you are looking for a place in the old city, this is the right hostel to sleep.

AMAZING HOSTEL, even though we didnt stay in the Riad Hala they moved us to their sister hostel down the road. The room was amazing and the breakfast was great. i cannot speak highly enough of this hostel. definantly more like a hotel. fantastic staff very helpful.

We stayed in another hostel, not hala, it was from the same owner. But they were pretty much the same, the only difference was a fridge in the one we moved in. Everything was good. The breakfast was pretty nice, the localization was in the main western gate, the most important. When you arrive don´t accept help from any "friend" that want to help you. Just ask in the stores. For me the only thing that was not so positive was the pillow for sleep. It was too big. Recommended to stay!

Great breakfast, very nice and attentive staff. We found the riad by ourselves, but they also offer a pick-up from the main gate of the medina. Location is great, near the main gate where you can get taxi and hang out at nearby restaurants. Room was good, we had a modern en-suite bathroom. Only downside were our pillows - stuffed to the max with a rock hard filling..A quiet place to relax. Would stay there again!

Nice and very beautiful hostel/riad, and it has nice atmosphere. The staff is friendly and the manager can tell you a lot about Fes and things to do there. He has a lot of usefull information. Bit of a turnoff was that they'll let you overpay for their "services", like a pick up from the airport/trainstation. Arrange it yourself: normally you'll pay at most 1/3 of the Riads price, cause the regular cabs are very cheap.

if your willing to spend the money, this place is really comfortable, its right in the medina, nice terrace, big rooms... breakfast is huge but not that good... easy to find much better on the street. staff is nice, speaks english, spanish, french... also, before you book this or any place in fez online before you leave, know that there are lots of fairly cheap hotels in and around the medina which one can book over the phone or on the fly... hotel cascade e.g.

Kacem was great with answering questions. When we arrived we were moved to the sister riad, Riad Sara, but it was beautiful and comfortable

This traditional Moroccan style Riad was absolutely wonderful. Once you have got to the place (a bit hard to find, but a local guide who you tip a few dirham will help you) you are looked after, and can get a guide to show you around Fes. It is in the old part of Fes and the view from the roof is spectacular. We were 4 students and it was great value for us,. Did I mention great breakfast? I would recommend this to anyone as long as you are up for a challenge finding it in the beginning!

This place has a great location but is hard to find. The riad is a fantastic old building, it´s like staying at a museum. I loved the interior. The staff is kind of neutral, not really friendly but they will try to help you if you have any questions.

Lovely place, very welcoming though a lot of damp in rooms

Las areas comunes muy bonita. Las habitaciones mas pequeñas fueron construidas posteriormente y no estan a tono con el resto del riad. El staff muy amigable (hablan español). El desayuno muy bien.
