The hostel was a little difficult to find as there was no clear sign directing guests into the alley where Riad Layla Rouge is located. I ended up getting hassled by a teenager for money when he pointed me in the right direction without my asking - his friend claimed to be a staff member of the hostel and blocked the entrance until I tossed the kid a couple dirham for help I didn't ask for. Long story short - PLEASE put up a better sign outside of the alley so guests can find their way better!!!

The hostel is one of the best I have ever been so far in my trips. The staff are really good and nice people and made me feel like I was home especially Abdel. The environment is really cozy and comfortable. Everything is clean, and they have a terrace with an amazing view of the city. They make a special tea for the guests which is delicious!!

That hostel is one of the best I've stayed in : perfect location (a little bit hard to find though as everything in the medina), a lot of character, great people working there and absolute cleanliness... I dare you find someplace better in Marrakech for that price ! Enjoy!

Okay hostel. The manager is friendly, sometimes a bit socially awkward though. Confusing location but felt safe while I was there. Very small hostel only about 15 people a night so very little socializing. I wouldn't stay here if I was by myself.

We stayed at Riad Layla Rouge for the beginning of our honeymoon trip to Morocco. It was the best place we stayed on our entire trip to Morocco and the staff was wonderful. Abdul, the manager, was so helpful and kind. The breakfast was the BEST- delicious and always more food than we could eat. The riad decor was lovely and the rooms, bathrooms, and common areas were clean and tidy. It is a close walk to the main square, so the location is very convenient.

The hospitality was amazing. You weren't expected to cough up with the money as soon as you step in. Instead, you were treated to some mint tea and biscuits as you wind down after your travels. When you were ready, they took you on a tour of the hostel. I only stayed one night here but it seems gives me the impression that it is quiet (obviously depends on your fellow travellers). The rooftop terrace is quite cozy too. The staff here are very friendly and willing to help with any questions.

this hostel is in a great location perfectly located for easy access to the market. Abdel is an excellent host and his staff are very accomodating and always have tea available which is great. There are also turtles on the rooftop terrace! Breakfast is big and tasty. The place is very safe, I left my bag while on a 2 day trek and it was exactly as it was when I left it. This place was recommended to me and I would definitely pass that recommendation along.

The hostel has an amazing design and is full of colour. Plenty of space in the dining and dorm areas for hanging out. The breakfasts are great and some of the best ive had in Morocco. The beds are very comfortable with a bathroom for each dorm. The best part about the hostel is the terrace which is not only an awesome chill out area, but gives you a great view out over the city. A big thanks to Abdul and all the staff in the hostel, i had an amazing time here and will be back!

The riad is fantastic. The staff is warm and welcoming, everything is clean, and the location is great, about 5 minutes from the medina (the main square.) It is beautifully decorated and the atmosphere is great to chill and meet others in the hostel. It's also very secure. You must knock on the door to enter, so no one unwanted can enter. The only slightly confusing part is how to get there. Fortunately, there is a video to help with that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HG40v03oxd4.

It was a really good experience, the people that work there are very kind, they tell you the best places to visit in Marrakesh, the decoration in the hostal is very pretty, you have breakfast everyday wi-fi, T.V in the the terrace, one woman that works in Layla Rouge make amazing henna tattoos and is a good place to share a room with more people. Good Choice!!

This riad is great for your first night in Morocco. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is relaxing. The cooking class is more a watch and learn but worth the tagine you get to eat at the end of it! The toilet and shower facilities are the low point as you share a shower with the entire hostel, which goes through the 8 person dorm. The cleaning is a little pedantic, keep everything in your bag for peace of mind. Have fun!

Riad Layla Rouge is hands down one of the best hostels I've stayed at during my travels. However, I struggle to call it a hostel, as it is closer to a hotel. The breakfasts are delicious, the service is unsurpassed, and the atmosphere makes it to where you never want to leave. Abdul went out of his way to make me feel welcomed and take care of all of my needs, including waking up at 4:30am to walk me to the taxi stand so I would make it to my early morning flight. Excellent!
