Very nice riad. The rooms were terrific, and the central courtyard was nice. However, I was hoping for the riad and the staff to feel a little more homely (just like the riads that we stayed at in Meknes and Chefchaouen, also booked using Hostelworld). Verus definitely had more of a hostel/hotel/business feel to it. The breakfasts were delicious, and the guided tour excursion through the medina is a must!

I spent there only a night with my girlfriend and following detailed directions we find out this awesome riad. Welcome has been given by Abdul, a great guy who offered us a cup of tea and start talking about the city, its history, its colture and about everything and nothing, he's really nice! The hostel is 400 m from the main square in a peacefull street. Unfortunately the AC was broken, but Abdul saved us by giving additional blanket and everything comes great! Breakfast huge and delicious!

I would definitely recommend Riad Verus to a friend. I spent here my first night in Morocco and it was a positive experience. Clean, cosy atmosphere, delicious breakfast and friendly staff, who offered us mint tea as we step in. Location is also ideal if you come by car, Riad Verus is quite easy to find, just at the entrance of the medina and a stone's trow away from Bab Bou Jeloud, where the two main "talaa" start.

Wouldn't recommend any other hostel but Riad Verus. The staff, facilities and atmosphere are top notch.

The hostel was great with a nice location, awesome staff, and good accommodations for your money. If I ever go back to Fez, i'll stay here again!

This poor review is for their off site dorm. Make sure that you do not stay in the off site dorm because it is extremely hard to find. They do not give you a key to the apartment so every time you want to be let in to the apt you have to make the 10 minute walk to the riad. I am sure that staying in the Riad is very nice but this off site apt was ridiculous. The place was really cold and the hot water heater requires someone to get it started. Enjoy Fez, stay somewhere else!

Beautiful place but no atmosphere staying there is like being on a lame school camp. But has potential to be awesome if the culture of the administration changed.

This is a really great hostel with really helpful staff. The breakfast is great and they have free Wi fi. The location is adjacent to the Medina so you can walk everywhere. Be Careful on the train as on the stop before Fes all of the "Hustlers" get on, they speak english and tell you they have family in your country and then they try to trick you and take you different hostels and demand money etc. Anyone who is nice in public is trying to scam you so dont listen.
