Unlike other hostels I've been to, the other guests were considerably older than my travel companions and I, so there wasn't really any opportunity to interact socially with them. In addition, not much effort was made to organise or promote different things to see and do around the city. Otherwise, the staff were very pleasant and my experience with the hostel overall was a very positive one.

Very nice and exceptionally clean hostel in the medina of Meknes. Great and helpful staff, great breakfast (served as always in Marocco). Only the optional dinner was good but overpriced for Maroccan prices (130 DH = about 13 EUR per person, tea not included).

The Riad was a good base to explore Meknes since it is located very close to the main attractions. The hotel is very clean and breakfast was good (more of a standard hotel breakfast rather than traditional Moroccan). They made a mistake regarding my room (I booked ensuite for 3 and was given one with no bathroom) and it was only after I complained that they did something about it. We ended up with 2 rooms with no bathroom. We were charged more for the taxi to Volubis than agreed upon by email.

The hostel was fine although not as good as I had expected. The main disappoint was the additional 60 dirham we were required to pay for tax that we had not previously been warned about. The additional cost was not that much of an issue but it was the fact that we hadn't been told about this prior to booking.

Welcome mint tea on arrival, banana cake provided on request instead of breakfast as we had to depart early in the morning. Very friendly and helpful staff, the owner speaks fluent English, with the other staff communication could be difficult if you don't speak French.

We stayed here on our first night in Morocco. We got there late at night and were not used to navigating the medinas of Morocco - this one was about a 5 minute confusing walk through some dark alleys to get there - but by the next morning we knew our way. The riad was lovely from the inside, the room was tidy and clean. We had some trouble getting hot water but after asking the staff and running the water for a while there was warm water. Breakfast is the standard riad fare.

Very pretty "dar" located in the medina. with nice and clean rooms. We particularly appreciated the sunny breakfast on the roof terrace - and that in the middle of the European winter :).

Very nice riad in the best zone of the Medina. Walking distance to all the sights in the city. Good breakfast and very helpful staff.

Literally the friendliest, most helpful staff I have ever encountered. Delicious breakfast, best service. As a testament to the commitment of this SPECTACULAR staff, the husband in charge woke up to walk myself and my female friend to her taxi at 4AM for our safety and so I could make it back through the maze that is Morocco's medinas. One of the best cultural exchanges Ive ever had, I would go to Meknes solely for the window this family offers to Moroccan culture. -votres amis Canadiens

Deep in the Meknes medina, Riad Zahraa was friendly, comfortable and familiar. The owners and manager are willing to help in whatever way possible - including seeking out (and then making in-house) wheat-free bread products for my traveling companion who has a wheat allergy. The view from the rooftop terrace can't be beat, the in-house dinner was tasty, and it was nice to be able to veg out and watch a movie one night when we were feeling like homebodies.
