Rick is kind and helpful. The internet only works in one room but is tricky to get on. The location is good, close to the Promenade. We did not have a good view of the ocean

Was a little surprised to find that the showers/toilets were shared by the whole floor but the last place I stayed at was a purpose built hostel.

If we travel again towards Giant's Causeway, Rick's Hostel will be first choice for accomodation. Great host, easy to access, very good value for money.

The hostel was amazing, and so was Rick! It was the best hostel I have stayed at by far, and I have stayed at a lot of hostels! It is close to the city centre of Portstewart, and just a bus ride away from the causeway and rope bridge! Rick did everything he could to accomidate us and our needs, and he never failed! He was awesome, and thanks to him, so was our trip!! Thanks, Rick!!

I had a fantastic stay at Ricks Causeway Coastal Hostel. Rick made me feel at home from the secound I walked through the door, and was very helpful with finding out travel infornation for me to places I was visiting during my stay. Rick is such a friendly person he makes you feel like you are part of his family, also gives your 110% good guest service. I recomend his Hostel to everyone I talk to.

Awesome location and awesome Rick.. so friendly and rooms were great (ours was en-suite). No wonder people whom we met were frequent customers for the hostel. The only downside that I felt was the bed, which was a bit of problem for a person like me who suffers with backache. Having said that there was no problem at all.

We stayed there only for a night, but would have wanted to stay longer. The staff were very welcoming and helpful! Hostel was extremely cosy. Location was perfect, we could even see the sea from our window! We would definitely stay there again! We do highly recommend this hostel!

Rick is a top host. Sat me down for tea, gave me some tips about the area. Made me feel right at home :o) Highly recommend this place. Ocean views right outside the door. Portstewart's a pretty town and friendly little place with some quirky characters about. More character than nearby Coleraine Portrush. Decent access by bus to the Giant's Causeway (or you can hitch!).

Rick is a Very friendly fellow who was accommodating to our needs. lots of info about the area shared. very tidy and homely. no gripes at all.

When we arrived, we didn't know the exact address, so we asked in the town hall and the ladies there apparently knew Rick as they went like "Oh, yeah, Rick's hostel? You just go along that road, then you go right and then left." When we found it, we both were very surprised, very positively, I have to mention! The atmosphere was sooo nice, rather more as if Rick would have let us use his living room than a hostel. It is an old building, full of character and atmosphere and warmth.
