Riding Fool Hostel

The Riding Fool Hostel is located in Cumberland on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. We're in the historic Tarbells building, a heritage ediface from the late 1800's, which we've updated to include a comfortable common room with a wood stove and pool table, a well-stocked kitchen, and cozy dorm rooms with lockers.

We share the Tarbells building with Dodge City Cycles and Tarbells Cafe. Partnering with these fantastic businesses means that our guests have ready access to bike rentals, local trail knowledge, wholesome food, and kick-ass coffee.

Cumberland offers a wealth of adventures to the recreation-minded. We are 24 minutes from the lifts of Mount Washington, down the road from swimming and rock climbing at Comox Lake, and world-class mountain bike trails are just out the back door.
For those looking for a more laid-back experience, we have a museum and art gallery in town, as well as self-guided historic tours of the village.

Our goal at the Riding Fool Hostel is to provide quality accommodation to the independent traveler in a fun, safe, and social environment. There's always lots of activities to do, summer or winter. So come join the fun!
