Property Information:
The Riding Fool Hostel is located in Cumberland on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. We're in the historic Tarbells building, a heritage ediface from the late 1800's, which we've updated to include a comfortable common room with a wood stove and pool table, a well-stocked kitchen, and cozy dorm rooms with lockers.
We share the Tarbells building with Dodge City Cycles and Tarbells Cafe. Partnering with these fantastic businesses means that our guests have ready access to bike rentals, local trail knowledge, wholesome food, and kick-ass coffee.
Cumberland offers a wealth of adventures to the recreation-minded. We are 24 minutes from the lifts of Mount Washington, down the road from swimming and rock climbing at Comox Lake, and world-class mountain bike trails are just out the back door.
For those looking for a more laid-back experience, we have a museum and art gallery in town, as well as self-guided historic tours of the village.

Latest Review
This is a great hostel in a small town close to Mount Washington and Courtney. It is close to a grocery store and you can catch the bus from courtney if you travel by greyhound. There is a very good kitchen and a really large common area with a pool table and a great vibe. The 12 bed dorm room is quite large although the top bunks could do with some barriers and the door does not lock but luckily there are lockers.
